The only meaning we could take from this is that Nico can win when there is nothing at stake.
unfortunately when the season comes back around his history suggests that when there is meaning in consecutive wins he comes a cropper and flounders.

Re: Vettel cutting the track everywhere after 1st lap punctu
of course they should be able to shortcut the track, but it should not be counted as a full lap so either an additional time penalty worth the estimated regular lap time of what they missed or a static penalty.

If you cut a large enough section of the track isn't the lap not counted?? but it would have to be half a tracks worth to warrant an automatic lapped car situation.

Well its settled now. Red Bull will be running a Renault Engine but with their own customisations, not sure which bits their customising though as the article said both the engine block and Ice package are being supplied by Renault.

Rossi should have had a bit more of a punishment than he did for his actions, people who defend him are too much caught up in Rossi's butt.
The only reason he got off so lightly was because it is Rossi.

I hope the FIA put their foot down on this based on the agreement Honda should supply two manufactures in the second year. Maclaren are quick to say they have a perfect chasis and their poor pace is all down to Honda, yet they are not comfortable for RBR to have the same engine, which will also hel...

We only ever see the tip of the iceberg that is Merc and take great liberties from what we see when explaining a point of view. What Lewis says is interesting to me because I feel there is more to it and with this being after the race you can bet he's looked at his previous set of tyres and they've ...

I don't think he's good enough in this type for formula, f1 at the minute seems a bit to clean cut where any aggressive behaviour gets jumped on and punished. The problem being that what made Bottas hot stuff, so to speak, was aggression.

Rosberg even said in an interview, Lewis pulls a 1 second gap at the beginning of the race and then drivers slowly to save his tyres for the end of the stint. He obviously reacts if someone gets close, but that causes them to also eat up their tyres so as he's in clean air it doesn't effect his tyre...

You have to remember when Lewis last contract was signed it was with Brawn with input from Lauda. Maybe he's a little uneasy in the relationship with Toto and wants some clarification.
Or maybe its just negotiating an out clause. That one clause is very important.
