Re: So is Bottas still hot stuff?

I don't think he's good enough in this type for formula, f1 at the minute seems a bit to clean cut where any aggressive behaviour gets jumped on and punished. The problem being that what made Bottas hot stuff, so to speak, was aggression.

Alonso vs Button

Its been half a season anyone got an opinion on how this pair are matching up against each other (when the car works) To me they seem really even on quali pace but its more difficult in terms of race as they sometimes do different strategies and more often than not one of the cars brakes. This isn't comparable to an illegally designed engine or body part. The tyres were Pressurised in the pits by Pirelli engineers and a different result read on grid in only 1 of four tyres.

There is massive room for an appeal even in the event of a dsq and we all know how good Mercedes lawyers are.

the second half of the championship decider race was so exciting. Could be a little confusing with points for fastest lap etc but I felt a buzz similar to exciting f1 races as well as qualifying. Rosberg even said in an interview, Lewis pulls a 1 second gap at the beginning of the race and then drivers slowly to save his tyres for the end of the stint. He obviously reacts if someone gets close, but that causes them to also eat up their tyres so as he's in clean air it doesn't effect his tyre...

You have to remember when Lewis last contract was signed it was with Brawn with input from Lauda. Maybe he's a little uneasy in the relationship with Toto and wants some clarification.

Or maybe its just negotiating an out clause. That one clause is very important.

Nico had a good race coming from 4th to 2nd and then back to 3rd. In regards to Hamilton he was no where near on his pace. Racer A was managing his pace
Racer B was behind and didn't want to race Racer A
Racer C was behind Racer B wanting to overtake them both.

There is no place on this planet where logic is being applied to this discussion in a racing series.

I think Lewis was racing the red bulls as it was the performance difference between the cars that forced him to push too hard and lose control more often than not rather than jenson doing anything.

The guy even follows the mantra of second place is the first of the losers
