if their interested in the longevity of parts they'll of kept it as the same engine so they can work out how long each part takes to wear down or break.

All they need to do is come up with a design for the rear of the car that allows a car behind to follow it through corners without being compromised by dirty air. An engine focused f1 is the right way to go as the benefits from technology discovered can be applied in some way to everyday cars while ...

Basically Pirelli have said looking at the little data they have now the new tyres would need to run at a much higher PSi 27 I believe which if ran on an f1 car would probably slow them down more than in comparrison to the supposed changes to speed the cars up. The issue is Pirelli isn't allowed to ...

Re: Merc strategy next year if Ferrari are closer

I think the OP means not just strategy in the race, but the better internal team, better parts for the car, similar as when Sebastian got the wing from Webber. That whole not bad for a number 2, Webber always felt Sebastian had better treatment than he did.

The only meaning we could take from this is that Nico can win when there is nothing at stake.

unfortunately when the season comes back around his history suggests that when there is meaning in consecutive wins he comes a cropper and flounders.

of course they should be able to shortcut the track, but it should not be counted as a full lap so either an additional time penalty worth the estimated regular lap time of what they missed or a static penalty.

If you cut a large enough section of the track isn't the lap not counted?? but it would have to be half a tracks worth to warrant an automatic lapped car situation.

Isn't this the james hunt scenario?

Rossi should have had a bit more of a punishment than he did for his actions, people who defend him are too much caught up in Rossi's butt.
