It's going to take a monumental shunt involving the sausage kerbs to get the FIA to act. One accident that I regularly think back to is Barrichello's practice shunt at Imola '94. I remember seeing the car take off over the kerb and thinking 'wow, they really need to flatten those out'. Then they di...

This might be too retro for you and involve too much work as it spans a long period but I would love to see an Alesi V Berger comparison 93-97.
Same. Hakkinen and Coulthard 96-01 would be an interesting read as well.

Loving the comparisons so far though.

Re: Sebastian Vettel to appear on BBC Question time

I thought he was looking a bit hirsute and hippie this year! Maybe soon he'll give up F1 to go and glue himself to the M25! Nice to see a driver (along with Hamilton) with the brains and awareness to consider the real world outside F1, but that does prove that he's no longer F1-obsessed enough to b...

Prefer him without the beard (did the BBC make him shave?) - only managing to view snippets as in work at the mo, so might have to wait until tonight.

His opening contribution sounded well-thought out and constructive.

The only improvement for me is the fact that - finally - cars seem to be able to follow closely. Apart from that? Nothing. Nada. Zilch. For the first time ever, due to various engagements last week, I literally did not see a single lap of the Miami circuit before the lights went out on Sunday. I jus...

Re: The incessant banging of the hype drum (rant)

Growing up, I had to wait for Autosport every Thursday or scroll through teletext (page 360 on BBC if I remember correctly!) for any F1 updates, on which a new article would be written every 3 days or so. But I loved it because whatever was written was worth writing. As much as I love having F1 news...

Before this season they needed to remove turns 14 and 15 because of the dirty air, hopefully these changes are enough though. It's similar to Spain which has always needed to remove the chicane and make the straight longer.
Spain needs to go altogether, IMO.

Wasn't it supposed to be no RDS this year? Just "if needed", in case the cars didn't work as intended?
This year's cars were always meant to have DRS; I remember Brawn saying that they were going to see how the new cars perform before deciding whether it's needed for future seasons.

Mercedes were actually going backwards year on year from 2010, the main problem was lack of investment, this only started to happen the year after when Hamilton joined the team , I think they lost faith in Schumacher, he wasn't the driver he once was, still good enough to match Rosberg in his final...
