Re: F2/F3 2021

You're example shows that it compresses the grid allowing weaker drivers to do better than before. Using the same format, with a driver moving 3 positions forward from his original start position in each race, here's how they'd score in 2020... Pole: 35 (including 4 for pole) 2nd: 31 3rd: 31 4th: 3...

Re: Silly Season 2021

Red Bull or bust for Albon according to Horner, so sounds like Tsunoda will be driving for Alpha Tauri. I wonder what Red Bull do in 2022 if Tsunoda is beaten by Gasly and Albon struggles again. If they've retained Albon then hat would be interesting to see. Surely at that point they have to give G...

Given we've only seen seven occasions where a driver has won both the races at a single weekend ( Rosberg, Hamilton, Piquet Jr., Pantano, Hulk, Valsecchi and Giovinazzi , in case you're wondering ;)) statistically it's not too likely that a driver would win the first sprint race and then win th...

I'll reserve judgement on it until we've seen it in action, but just looking at the format, I do wonder if it is an improvement on what we already have. Re: How will Russell perform against Bottas?

I rate Russell very, very highly.

However, being thrown in like this I struggle to see him getting within .2 of Bottas in qualifying, and finishing ahead of either Valtteri or Max in the race. I think 3rd on the grid and 3rd in the race would be a decent day's work.

The Turkish GP TMW vote saw one of the three remaining battles settled, another tied and another tip heavily in favour of one driver. At Racing Point, Sergio Perez wrapped up the TMW for 2020, extending his lead to an unassailable 8-3, while the battle at Haas now sees Kevin Magnussen needing to win...

It's never been more than 75, and that's an outlier. 50-60 is about standard. In that case, my personal opinion is that unless I take points out of JN23's advantage over me at the Sakhir GP, there is no point anyone other than the top 2 submitting their choices privately. Perez gets pitted out of a likely P3 in Imola. Leclerc loses P3 at the last corner in Turkey. And now Perez again loses a certain P3 in Bahrain. At this stage, it borderline deserves points of its own

The vote at Imola saw a couple of the TMW battles for the season really heat up, with both Carlos Sainz and Romain Grosjean taking the honours and pulling to within a single TMW of their respective teammates. I don't think this has been mentioned previously: If Lewis goes on to win the 2021 title as well, he will equal Schuey's record of five consecutive World Drivers Championship titles. Re: Which of Schumacher's remaining records will Lewis break?

Podiums in a season - 17 in 2011. Remarkably, Lewis has already equaled this no fewer than four times (in 2015, 16, 18 and 19) although again, there is possibly an argument that Schumacher is the standard bearer for this after his 17 podiums from 17 races in 2002. I think taking 100% of the podiums...

1 reason why Max/Marko would be preferring Hulk over Perez is because when Max were to beat Hulk, Hulk would be calmer & accept defeat in a more subtle manner. When this same situation would arise for Checo, he may get flustered & a similar scenario of Perez/Ocon could arise. https://www.gpblog.com...
