Re: 2020 Austrian Grand Prix Race Thread

Red Bull have requested a review of Hamilton’s non-penalty yesterday. Another trip to the stewards for Merc. Snap  surely they wont be changing there mind now. I assume that Red Bull need new evidence for this to change, like Ferrari when they requested a review of Vettel’s penalty from Canada...

Re: 2020 Austrian Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Thre

Well practice doesn't show everything, but given it is effectively the start of the season (where hamilton sometimes takes time to get up to speed) and Bottas often seems better overall at this track, I did actually expect him to be a little closer. Mercedes 1 - 2 look certain though. Edit, i maybe...

Re: Mercedes team dynamics

While the off-season is (still) on, I've been reading a lot of new (and rehashed) interviews with (admittedly mostly British and Mercedes folks) people talking about Lewis Hamilton, and today I read a quote from Wolff which made me do a double-take: “I want to do my part to ensure that Lewis Hamilt...

Spectators will not be allowed in. Victorian premier Daniel Andrews told 7News Sydney: “On public health grounds, there will be no spectators at the grand prix this weekend if a race actually happens at all. That is a matter for them and they will make announcements very soon.”

So we have at least 2 drivers having already flown home, the teams preparing to pack up their equipment - but the organisers saying everything going on as normal. Simple.

Allowed to cheat its as simple as that.

Ferrari will have had to give the FIA all their information on what they did but this is a slap in the face to their competitors.

One thing I am surprised is Mercedes showing their hand here so soon. You'd think they could wait until Australia to really catch the other teams off guard.
