Re: Rosberg reveals some truths

All I recall is Hamilton's onboard and Leclerc weaving from side to side making it difficult for him to pass, did they not both pass Leclerc down the long straight? In respect to Hamilton's fight unless he's gone soft in his older age he had to fight a lot harder to get were he is now than what Ver...

Re: Rosberg reveals some truths

I only remember one pass when Hamilton got held up behind Leclerc and Verstappen got a run on him and passed him on the straight, was the other a SC restart with Verstappen on new tyres and Hamilton on old tyres? Overtakes in F1 are not made in a vacuum. Verstappen was significantly more aggressive...

Re: Rosberg reveals some truths

It is funny nobody ever mention the competitivity of RB cars because they look at VER's teammates who can not drive his set ups apparently. It is like the repeat of ALO's career. Exactly like Alonso's career. The 'teammate unable to drive his setup' excuse is trotted out whenever people want to dis...

Re: Rosberg reveals some truths

Just quickly watched his view on the Hamilton incident. As you can see, he jokes about Hamilton pushing him off the road on T1 at Austin. This is the dominant feature of the Hamilton vs Rosberg era. Rosberg outlines after, that Hamilton could always find that 'grey' area between getting a penalty a...

Re: Rosberg reveals some truths

If Lewis and Max ever end up constantly going at it I can see it either being some of the best wheel to wheel stuff of all time or just constantly ending in large repair bills. Neither of them will give an inch and both clearly like leaving a wheel in just to hammer home dominance. It'd be firework...

When Verstappen was a child with just a single season of car racing under his belt. Why look at baby Verstappen when we can compare them against more recently against fully developed Hulk? His (family's) choice. F1 is not kindergarten. It is not like Sainz is 40, is he? He was still a F1 rookie or ...

99% of the F1 world is convinced RIC is an upgrade. Disregarding points, but looking only at raw speed and race pace, SAI has been more impressive vs VER than RIC. Qualifying, race and wet. Re: The Official Carlos Sainz Jr. Thread

I think the hiring of Sainz will do more to upset the dynamic at the front of the grid than anything since the retirement of Nico Rosberg or the promotion of Max Verstappen to RBR. Initially he will probably be slower than Charles is or Seb was in qualifying. I am guessing that his racecraft could ...

Re: Driver(s) of the Day - 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix

I also think that Verstappen extremely rarely lacks pace whereas I think Sainz does more often - especially over a single lap. I think Noris often makes him look bad here. It's interesting that this perception seems to have stuck to Sainz. Based on most people's reactions, you'd think Norris was wi...

Re: Driver(s) of the Day - 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix

I think Noris has very often been disappointing on race day which is not the case in qualifying. And yes, I personally think that a lot of this year, the Mclaren has been easily the best of the rest. There have been many races where Sainz has sort of been in the middle of nowhere. Behind the top 3 ...

At the end of the race with all the chaos and including Bottas retiring, Gasly and Sainz both gained the same number of positions. Could Sainz's awesome performance this year also down to the McLaren car? McLaren hasn't brought a big upgrade package but instead has brought small upgrades to every race which is why it kept improving ever so slightly to build such a cushion to the midfield. https://f1i.com/news/358709-mclaren-mi...

Alonso had more points after 10 rounds in the 2018 than Sainz did after 10 rounds this season. That was with a less competitive car. There's no way Alonso wouldn't be scoring more points than Sainz with this Mclaren. If you mean he wouldn't be higher up in the championship.. That i agree with. And ...

The trouble is if he was at Ferrari, then Verstappen, Vettel or Riccardo would be at Mercedes by now, or Rosberg racking up the World titles without him in the way, and we'll assume LeClerc is his team mate. But I certainly think he COULD win the title in a Ferrari, just as he has done in a McLaren...

One thing for sure is that this is a surprising and comprehensive beatdown in qualifying from Leclerc that Vettel is being bombarded by. Leclerc looks incredible on one Lap pace. In that department he is bossing Vettel lately, having Hamilton as a buffer should work in his favour too making it that much tougher for Vettel to get within slipstreaming range on lap one. As for Mercedes, Obviously Hamilton's 2nd place won't last as I im...
