Seeing people talk about Lotus, I really hope the team will have a name change next year. I hope no one uses the Lotus name any more nor the Johnnie Walker livery unless they actually do have it as sponsor. Well if Renault buy them out then obviously they would want to run under the Renault banner ...

Ultimately - the sport is now ruled by money and not fun, genuine 'competition', or indeed glamour. That's a real shame and I totally get where you are coming from but it isn't really over the last two years, its been happening for the last 25+, just gradually the financial 'noose' or stranglehold ...

Just a question. The Merc people are clever & must know that if they remove the blankets early then the pressure will drop with temperature, so why did they remove the blankets early as everybody only only removes them as the car is about to be dropped off the jacks.

I think this is the scenario that was in Seb's mind when he gave the post race interview only he would have been travelling a lot quicker. m Was that also a tyre failure? If a tyre supplier rates its tyres for a certain duration be it 28 or 40 laps it should mean that there will be a performance drop off even if it is dramatic like happened to Kimi in China a couple of years ago which would make it pointless remaining out on them.
