Inappropriate post removed. Your comments don't even justify a response but it's impossible to let it go. All I will say is that based on the few details in the public eye there is no way you can know that the circumstances are the same as the one you claim to compare it too so why even bother? I c...

Re: It's not the car, it's Lewis!

The thing is though many have suspected for a long time that Vettel has always been a small step behind the best, including Hamilton and Alonso which is a big part of the reason that they didn't take his earlier success so well. Vettels head to head with better team mates so far seems to support tha...

Re: Sprint races in 2020

I hope they have discussed what would happen with grid penalties. Will cars taking a new engine still receive the penalty on the Sunday – so any places made up in the sprint race are lost? I bet some teams are fairly happy because it essentially becomes a free/softer weekend to take a new engine? Yo...

Re: Sprint races in 2020

I'm not convinced this could work. If the sprint race is not for championship points who's going to go 10/10ths in a risky situation and possibly wreck their car for the GP? Also, given that passing is so hard in a long race, in a sprint race, presumably with no pit-stops, it would be virtually imp...

Re: Sprint races in 2020

I have to agree with those who have said it would add to the excitement and make it a must-see race weekend. Imagine that it would also lead to a decent increase for trackside crowds on the Saturday. And actually I think one of the reasons that they are considering this is directly related the diffi...

Re: Who will end their career with the most wins - 2019 edit

This is a tough call. Based on ability I would expect to see Verstappen rise to the top and rack up the wins, but LeClerc has other attributes and marketability along with enough ability that will go a long way. Hamilton had ability and marketability to match, so shouldn’t really be much of a surpri...

I think it's kind of a safety thing rather than a double standard. I think Palmer's column on bbc says all that needs to be said. Was a great little tussle between leclerc and Hamilton but I really do expect common sense to prevail in the drivers briefing and they will agree that you cant to that in...

Albon is going to be 2-0 up on Verstappen! The rest going as I expected but a little surprised to See Kvyat not having a bigger advantage over Gasly. A penalty would have been justified for Charles but not producing a penalty is also understandable. Ultimately; any penalty that is seen as benefiting Hamilton or Mercedes will be unpopular and people will cry about the sport being ruined. That is what stayed the hand of the stewards regarding Char...

I’d heard that Max would take a new engine in Russia, with Honda wanting the fresh unit and no penalty for Japan. The thinking being that the Spec 3 would still get the job done in Singapore, but perhaps Red Bull and Honda won’t be completely aligned on that one. If they go that route though, my bol...

That put him in pretty good shape for the challenge from Ferrari, where he fared pretty...

Its the logical result. Bottas is a good No. 2 driver - and not going to challenge Hamilton. It is only a good decision if Merc produces another fairly dominant car imo. You’d have to think both Ferrari and Redbull will be stronger next year. You have Verstappen, Vettel, Leclerc in those cars. Bott...

Bottas was only quicker than Massa in qualifying. On race pace they were very even. Out of the 46 occasions both Williams cars finished, Massa and Bottas finished ahead 23 times each. How individuals rate Vettel and Hamilton will influence how they rate the Ferrari and Mercedes in 2017 and 2018. For it to be a bold prediction, does it need to be something you actually think will, or at least could, happen?

If so, then Albon to win a race (if I was to say where then Singapore) and Norris to get a podium. Things are still all to predictable to make overly bold calls.

I think Hamilton is a great. I'm saying achieving more success does not make a driver better. Therefore you can't use success on its own as an indicator of how good a driver actually is .
