Re: 2018 German Grand Prix Race Thread
For a top driver going for a world championship Vettel simply makes too many mistakes. How many good results has he lost from errors over the last 2.5 years? It feels like a lot. If you're racing Hamilton in equal or near equal cars you can't afford to drop many points. That's excellent point. Vett...

I don't agree. There's nothing to be gained by running over the grass like that. No one would do that intentionally in a premeditated fashion. There is similar argument that there is nothing to be gained form not attaching wheels properly yet it's prohibited because it's dangerous. It's the same wi...

Re: 2018 German Grand Prix Race Thread
There's the argument about not messing with race results because an investigation wasn't announced during it immediately after the race, but there's also the argument about consistency with adjudicating incidents. Merc really have no argument, given they did make a call to pit Hamilton, however ham...

I'm joining the discussion very late. In my opinion all incidents should be treated equally regardless of who is involved into them and what position, points or possible win is at stake. That said if stewards feel something happens intentionally and can really affect championship then stewards shoul...

The gaps are very narrow in WCC standings. Few good results by one team and order might competently change. I still voted for Renault but their advantage means little at this point.

Re: Ferrari under scrutiny again.
If a team is bending the rules or pushing the boundaries a bit far, then generally I have no problem with that. Often it's down to rule interpretation and then there's an argument for saying the rules should be better defined. Example for that might be the recent Ferrari mirror design. However, if ...

There's too many accidents because of "cool" tires. F1 doesn't need a safety car in the first place, but you raise a valid point. I would say F1 needs proper tyres. The alternative to safety car is stopping the race. It's one of the alternatives. What are others? I mean we have virtual safety car, ...

1.8 seconds slower than Red Bull with the same engine It seems McLaren was also slower than Renault in Bahrain. Really, that's the impression you got? The thing is how they do the change, if they do.
