Re: Alonso's legacy in F1
Alonso might be remembered to be a ruthless character, mostly off the track. He will also remembers as the driver who deserved more titles than he actually got. Guess his team choices would soon be lost in pages of history. What will remain is: - He beat Michael Schumacher - Closely missed three tit...

Re: when, and to where, will the Ricciardo move take place?
Regardless of top teams wanting Ricciardo, today is a sufficient argument for him to switch teams. Verstappen will not learn so fast, but he will keep harrassing him like this, which ultimately will drop Ricciardo's stock on the market. As said, Renault looks to be a good option, but I am pretty sur...

Re: Ferrari Engine Upgrades
I've heard rumours of a larger turbo floating around. But during qualifying I think they mentioned new intakes (variable perhaps?) and fuel injectors. Sounded like they were planning to change up a few of the things that only cost 1 point each, lots of small changes. I would hazard a guess that the...

While the Mercedes, Ferrari, Williams wonder who is gonna give them tough time today for race win, McLaren is looking forward to just seeing the chequered flag under its own power. As a FA fan, this is getting kind of too frustrating. To make things worse, we have 3-week break until Barcelona to see...

Re: Alonso may be free to leave Ferrari according to news re
Why would Mercedes need Alonso, when with the competitive advantage they hold now and will probably hold for another 2-3 seasons, they can even win with Max Chilton in the seat? Realistically Alonso can be either at RBR or McLaren. I doubt RBR is anymore an attractive place to be considering Newey i...

Re: Should Williams get rid of Maldonado already?
Reminds me of final races of 2007 season when Alonso had a bad qualifying session, probably in China and he blamed team for playing with tire pressures. By that time, it was certain he is on his way out so he could badmouth the team. Not much different from Maldonado. Drivers are human beings, they ...

I'd put that Jenson needs a better team than McLaren. (Counting McLaren's today's form). If any of the recent rumors hold any water, McLaren would be getting Alonso, who would be good for the team as well as Jenson. We might have two very race-oriented and smart drivers fighting it out on Sunday, no...

the pit exit was done safely, its further down the road that Alonso gets pushed off the track, It's all one move. Alonso saw Vergne on pit lane exit, decided to not lift and instead plant his foot. That's still part of exiting the pit lane. Alonso was not punished because he was faster, being on op...

It's the car. Everything that is unique in F1 is also related to the car, not the people. If you look at most of the regulations, they also focus on car rather than behavior/methodology

Renault alternator might win it for Alonso... On a serious, if Alonso somehow manages to extend his lead on McLarens in next 1,2 races, he needs McLaren to start taking top positions in races to ensure Vettel doesn't get much lead on him if Vettel is finishing ahead of Alonso in races. It's clear un...
