Re: Possible 4 part qualifying in 2019.
The issue with the engine/parts penalty system aside, the three stage qualy has been relatively successful since it's inception and shouldn't be mucked around with (especially as the cynic in me thinks it might be about increasing advertising slots!?). I do however think that the top teams get an ad...

Re: Double Points Vote Now
If we're looking to keep casual viewers watching until the end: Why not just get the FIA to randomly select one of the GP's from a tombola at the end of the season (or seal a chosen GP in an envelope before the season and lock it in a safe, revealing it in a ceremony after the final race)? I can jus...

Then the FIA need to link in an over-ride system in the pit lane to keep each team's traffic light system at red until the pre-requisite clearance is available? In this case, it was Nico's. The replay clearly showed him flooring it before the 'traffic light' system above his pit changed from red to green... I'll take your word for it as I missed this. But although its nearly always the team's fault - how does the team get punished without punishing their d...

Actually the point is more general. (Should have made clearer) That a retiring driver has an ace up their sleeves of potential manipulation of the race even as they are going out. I m not sure Ilike that. It's been done before - see Michael Schumacher at the A1 ring. He collided (with his brother I...

I'd say it was good in principle, but there is still the issue of inconsistent application by local stewards. What is the application procedure to go with this penalty system? http://www1.skysports.com/formula-1/news/12433/8797036/The-FIA-approves-in-season-testing-s-return-and-penalty-points-syste...

3 points is to be the maximum? that is 4 'boobs' before a ban? Are they combined with grid drops or as an alternative? Not sure of I like it or not. If it was as well as existing punishments it would be ok for mild offenses but if it is 3 freebies, then I'm skeptical they will be a deterrent. I'd a...

Re: Do we need super wets tires?
Changing the regs to re-balance the preference for downward sloping 'tea trays' would help. Just looking at the cars from low angle cameras, you can see why the issue exists. Dictating a minimum clearance or extending the floor of the car beyond the front axles might address this problem.

I'm hoping the only reason Hulkenburg went to Sauber was to find his way into a Ferrari eventually. 2014 would be a good time This generally has been the reason Nico went to Sauber, but the question is do Ferrari think he has enough experience to be considered for the No2 seat? I have a repeat of the team principal's press conference on Sky F1 at the moment and the quote in the title just came out of Christian Horner. Unfortunately, if Massa is replaced at Ferrari, it'll probably be Hulkenberg (not likely though, given Ferrari's reluctance to hire drivers with Nico's current level of experience). In that case, if Massa was to stay in F1, he'd slot straight back into the Sauber to see out his career... Why? If Ma...

I would really like to see Massa finish his career as a No:1 driver of a good team and the only way that seems likely is if Raikkonen moves to Red Bull leaving his Lotus open for Massa. It's not on the list, and no-one's considered it in four pages, but another name to throw into the ring... Rosberg. Fast, consistent, able to close out a race as a winner (one up on the STR boys: not a fault of their own, of course) Talk about not wanting two german drivers to open the market isn't ...

Horner himself has said that he wants the best driver (I assume he means fastest available) for the team. Massa will get a new one year deal with Hulkenburg signed on a pre contract for 2015 after spending one more year with Sauber.
