Re: The Official Gaming Thread
Alien Isolation looks good enough for me to pre-order, so I should be able to fill you in next Tuesday when it comes out (why on a Tuesday, I don't know. Seems kinda random.). No reviews for it yet, which seems odd considering it comes out in 5 days. If MKX looks like the preview videos they showed...

Re: How stupid do Top Gear think we all are?
I'm not a Top Gear fan - for the last several years I have felt the style is old and boring and far too scripted for my liking. I like some of the controversy - not the controversy itself as such - but the fact that Clarkson does at least try to speak his mind, which in this day and age is all too ...

Re: How stupid do Top Gear think we all are?
Can I point out that I was personally not singling out Clarkson, in fact my beef is with the production team and decision makers which may or may not include him. The chances of the car he bought having that number plate by chance are inconceivably small. The program can be massivly entertaining be...

Re: How stupid do Top Gear think we all are?
I think I read somewhere that Jeremy Clarkson's annual income is £14m and I wondered to myself, what is it that any person in the world can do that relates in any way to an amount of work (time and effort) that equates to £14m p.a.? The hardest working people I know (and they work really hard) coul...

A foreign substance that isn't very foreign, considering its already been identified as something that they use on the car. So, bad luck, which is exactly what most people attributed Webber's constant KERS failures too despite the sister car having a mucb better time of it, the same bad luck that c...

If it is so poor why do we not hear anything about it anymore, all the teams were surprised by Red Bulls stance and it just showed how far at times they are prepared to push the rules even going into illegality Because the case went to tribunal and a verdict was handed down. No team wants to be dis...

Positives;
Doesn't look like a building site (hi Korea!), I actually quite like some the buildings and architecture.
Barriers! Quite close to the track!
Negatives;
Does anyone really want to go to Sochi in October?

I must say I am shocked at the results of the poll so far. I would have thought that pure F1 would get the majority of the votes. But then again this probably tells us about the age of most of the posters here. Most are probably very young and born in the 90s or late 80s. I voted for a pure F1 beca...

They had a total fuel used limit back in the "glory days" too though and, given the advances in engine technology we've seen since then, it wasn't a wildly different figure either. I don't want to seem harsh or say this in bad taste. But there was nothing actually wrong with the regulations in 94. Formula 1 cars were safe and the safety aspect you can't actually fault. Only 2 things have come from it that the wheel tethers and the plank. If you think about it. The regulations...

The cars of Prost's era weren't as difficult to drive by choice, it was a result of the engineering not being as advanced, the science of the sport not as refined. If today's F1 teams - even Caterham or Marussia - built a car to the 1980s regulations, with the same downforce levels they had back th...

The drivers of today are visibly fitter and more athletic than the drivers of Prost's generation and have the benefit of all the advances in training and stuff like nutrition since then. Anyway, quite frankly I don't really give a sh*t if the cars are easier on the body to drive than they used to be...

Using a recent example of Canada this year where both Mercs had the same issue. Do we think Hamilton's issue was just more severe than Rosberg's? Or did Rosberg simply nurse it better? Hamilton's issue was more severe and also happened before Rosberg's so Nico had the opportunity to react to what h...
