Re: 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Race Thread
That was perthetic. Red bull should be ashamed of themselves. That's not motorsport when it comes to a championship decider. There shouldn't be any inter team play. Period. There is a rule in place. Again from Jerez 97 that of anyone gets involved in the championship outcome. They would be severely...

I am also confused about the decision of the stewards, but on the other hand their reasoning kinda makes sense... Super confused. Verstappen was a bit too optimistic, but I don't see how and where Hamilton gave away the advantage he won...

Monaco is a race for the rich and the sponsors. All discerning fans know this. All this crap about being historic and ironic and whatnot, is just polishing the turd. Having said all this, the actual result is good for the overall title race, because I guess most fans don't want to watch another Hami...

I was watching the race and baby sitting, plus commentary was in Russian, and I couldn't get all of it. Can someone explain to me what were the strategies of Verstappen and Leclerc? I think he means all great athletes / sportsmen thrive on a legendary rivalry.
Hamilton is adding WDCs without any real fight. Not entirely his fault, but it robs us from some entertainment and we could use a proper F1 rivalry.

Not the biggest fan of Vettel but I started to feel for the guy lately. We stick the boot in him too often - I have done it also myself. I thought it was a bit tongue in cheek so it's ok. I haven't thought that it might be a bit theatrics to play the sympathy card and to distract attention from his ...

Hamilton will win this year and next. It is clear as daylight to the disinterested observer. F1 is broken and the Mercedes advantage cannot be overturned. Bottas is not good enough to challenge him consistently. We are just going through the motions arguing about stewards and penalties.

Hamilton dominates every driver out there, he is simply to good for the rest of the pack. Vettel cant handle the pressure. Hamilton is the best F1 driver ever by miles. Right now he is only better than Vettel and Bottas. Give Marx an equal machine or even Ricciardo and then we can see if he is as d...

Re: I am calling it now Hamilton will win WDC 2019
As things stand it is very hard to argue with the OP. Mercedes is a beast, Hamilton delivers most of the time and he is better than Vettel. So Ferrari must really up their game and start consistently scoring huge points to have a chance of upsetting Mercedes. Very hard to see how this would happen...

A bit early for this discussion but if Leclerc beats Vettel this season the 2017-2018 may be looked at again. The assumption has always been Hamilton = Vettel (approximately) that might change in the future. It won't change anything for me. I already think Ferrari had the car to win 2017 and 2018, ...

Re: I am calling it now, Charles Leclerc will win the WDC
Somebody did this last year and got it right, but they waited until a consistent pattern had emerged. I'm going bold and calling it after the second race. What we saw from Leclerc in Bahrain lived up to the promise I knew (certainly hoped!) he had, and once Ferrari start focusing their attention on...

Vettel is still the crash kid we all met last decade. The last two years and this unfolding season will cast the cold light of revisionism on his achievements during his Red Bull years. If Leclerc beats him this season then for me the debate will be over. A good driver that delivers when given an aw...

Re: Which of Schumacher's remaining records will Lewis break
Other than a couple of years of Hakkinen, who really challenged Michael for any period of time? Today's grid has far better depth, and I feel that Lewis has had tougher team mates than Michael did overall. I'd like to see him overtake in race wins, and if that happens the WDC could be matched. I ca...

If Vettel had a car advantage maybe, but since it's the other way around and Merc has proved that Bottas will be used I find it a zero chance for a Ferrari/Vettel chance, this is signed and sealed I guess you weren't around in 2007. That was also apparently signed and sealed for Hamilton with only ...

Well, still a way to go, but it seems to me my prediction was not entirely off the mark.
In my mind at least, there is little doubt that Hamilton > Vettel, even if the difference is marginal but still enough to make it count when it matters.
Also Ferrari cannot get its act together.

Maybe I should wait for today's race. But what the heck, I am not being paid to write predictions. It's all a bit of fun. So here it goes. Hamilton will win again this year's WDC for three simple reasons: 1. He is just better than Vettel. Vettel is not good enough to beat Hamilton, unless he has cle...
