Re: The Official Carlos Sainz Jr. Thread

I just heard an interview with Carlos Sainz Jr. where he is reminiscing about his test with Red Bull where he managed to get into their young driver development programme. He expresses his gratitude to María de Villota, who coached him and prepared him for this test. He describes how he'd drive behi...

I don't think Bottas is better than Sainz, but he would be easier to manage in a number 2 status if that is what they are seeking.

Re: Sebastian Vettel to leave Ferrari at end of season

It's not surprise that the Ferrari-Vettel relationship has soured. There were signs of it, both sides feeling that they were let down by the other, Ferrari seeming to have a greater affinity for Leclerc. So no surprise there. That said, the fact that this puts Vettel in an Alonso-like position is sy...

Jerez.

They tested there yearly until recently.

The place is used to hosting similar events (MotoGP every year)

And more importantly, it is a one hour drive for me to attend!

Re: MOTO GP cancelled in Qatar.

My gut feeling is there is not going to be an Australian GP. At least not in March. With respect to the rules, 5.7 says the event may be cancelled if there are less than 12 cars. That is a little ambiguous. It doesn't say it may be cancelled due to non-attendance ONLY if there are less than 12 cars....

I don't like Imola, and when I look at the chicane in the Tamburello turn where Senna died, I still feel it is dangerous and doesn't have enough run-off where its needed.

The main issue is with the cars. They make a lot of races boring, not just Monaco. When they fix the cars, then they can start looking at what circuits are better or worse.

You clould clearly see how Kimi slowed and looked towards the scene of the accident with concern as he walked towards the garage. In my view people have seen too many movies with unlikely heroes rushing in to help. Benefit of the doubt? No need to even doubt, the man did the right thing.
