I think we shouldnt lose sight of the fact that those pitstop blunders cost real points. They cannot be caught back now.
Kudos to the team for its speed but the earlier issues were a seperate problem, not to do with speed but with the overall management of the pitstops, which falls with management.

He is waving not much nor less than any other top driver including both Alonso and Hamilton. But it's Vettel so let's give him a stick. Cry me a river. Ok, there's a big conspiracy against Vettel on this forum. Is that what you wanted to hear? I think his point is that everyone waves their hand whe...

If Button had retired or wasn't anywhere near Hamilton un-lapping himself would Hamilton have done the same thing? Yes... would this now be a talking point if this had happened... probably not. Button being close to this bit of legal racing is just an excuse to pick at it. I don't think its about J...

Re: Hamilton unlapping himself
I found the incident very funny. By the letter of the law Hamilton should have been penalised but anyone with an ounce of common sense would tell you that was nonsense. What was really interesting was having over taken Vettel and then not be able to over take Alonso. At what point can Vettel demand...

I think we can conclude Alonso is one of leading contenders, that wont change at Hungary regardless of how Ferrari do. I think car performance will continue to vary race by race so i dont think any race will give a definitive idea.

Are Ferrari really in the contention as much as they seem now? When's the last time we had a fairly normal and stable weekend where everyone were able to maximize their potential or thereabouts both in race and qualy? That may never happen this year. The Ferrari is right there, that's the point i t...

In 2010 his pole to win ratio was not very good. Especially at the beginning of the year before the aggressive EBD came in. I think the points are fine, a win shouldn't be artificially inflated to double that of the runner up, it's still only one place. IMO, wins are worth more as they mean something in their own right, a race win is an acheivement that can't be value in points. I don't think it's likely we'll see a wdc ...

I think Alonso's attitutude is as good as one could expect - I think he's content being top dog, knowing he has his two championships and is respected as a driver. He probably also knows he has several years to get one or two more titles.
