Re: 2018 Macau Grand Prix.

I was watching this as it happened (through the Motorsport TV stream) and we just saw a flash as the car flew incredibly quickly through the back of frame. As a professional sports photographer I've spent so much time in photo pits at events and when I saw the replays I feared the worst. I'm so glad...

Great race, the opposite of a typical F1 race where the field spreads, in this race it all came together for the last few laps. Really good racing!

Re: Jules bianchi's replacement.

I must admit I am surprised how many people are even contemplating the possibility the team won't be putting a replacement in. To not race would go against the grain of every racer out and the team will already have made the decision on who will replace Jules in the short term (or at least pared it ...

I've been to Sepang several times for the race and every year it buckets down like you wouldn't believe. I'd be surprised if this dries enough to run today. (I don't go to the race anymore as the rain really gets annoying, not just for the race but getting transport back to KL) I really hope they ev...

Hmmm, never entered one of these even though I am a photographer... I've put this one in though because I've always loved this shot I got of Kubica at Sepang in 2009. The reflection of his arms and the cockpit on his visor sort of gives it a stormtrooper look. http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh66...

Re: What sort of contact do fans have with drivers?

F1 drivers are mortals and do run of the mill things sometimes. I've met several over the years and most of the time they're nice people and fine to chat with. I'm digressing from F1 here but about a decade ago I went climbing with Petter Solberg for an afternoon and he quite literally gave me the s...

Re: invincible tyres vs no racing

I like the current tyres, they've contributed to much better racing than the early 90's and early 2000's. Yes there are other contributing factors but tyres play a major part. One of the worse things that happened this year was the return to last years tyre spec, it noticeably diminished the racing ...

Re: IndyCar Fontana Finale

I have to say I totally disagree. Penske has been responsible for some dog moves in this championship and if Helio wins the series it really will tarnish the sport. Dixon was deliberately taken out a few weeks ago and then there was the debacle where the pit crew walked infront of Dixon's car. The f...

Great race. I went out there yesterday but the poor organisation and $80 for a camp site drove me home. The simple fact is that doping is rife in professional sports and has been for decades. Even in horse racing they need to test the horses as they can be given cocaine and other stimulants.
