Sure there was luck involved in Norris' maiden victory, but surely that must be the case in the majority of maiden victories?

Re: New points system
Haven't read through the thread but I think one argument was for the extended points positions was to give more incentive to fight for positions outside of the top 10.
Can we think of another incentive besides handing out points if we don't want to mess with the current points system?

Re: Official Valtteri Bottas Thread
Bottas seems in good form at the moment. I expect his future career depends on what Sainz does more than anything else. If he leaves Audi will he have an opportunity at Haas or Williams? He would be an upgrade on Magnussen or Sargeant. Personally I hope he doesn't go to the outright backmarker team...

Frustratingly hard to gauge the drivers' performances when stuff like setup (see Lewis the last race) and tyre managing are so important. But I digress.. Setup and tyre management are crucial elements of a driver's skill set. I don't think it's possible to gauge a driver's performance without consi...

Re: Official Valtteri Bottas Thread
It's contract time and it looks like Bottas has upped his level and putting the kind of manners on Zhou he should have been doing all along according to some, however it might already be to late for his F1 future, I guess teams might be wise to that kind of behaviour. The more I think about it, the...

Re: Silly Season 2025
It does not matter what I project, the scenario will play out the same regardless whether Red Bull is dominant or not. There is an upside if the car itself becomes less competitive, but currently we don't have any evidence of that. If anything, having the competition catch up it is all the more imp...

Sainz's only deserved move would be Red Bull as that team is still the best. But Checo is doing good enough to keep that seat his. Re: So... who replaces Lewis at Mercedes?
Read some news about Vettel potentially being in the running to replace Lewis. I hope that is untrue; he was past it by 2018 and the subsequent time at Aston Martin was already an embarrassment. Stroll should not be getting anywhere as close to a top-level driver as he did when partnered with Vette...

1. The installation of charging points is indeed lagging somewhat, in particular for homes without a driveway or a designated parking spot.
