Looking at the ages posted by DOLO... The day Antonelli was born, Alonso was driving in the Friday free practice of the 2006 Turkish GP, which was the 14th race of the 18 race season where Alonso claimed his second WDC. Slowing down your rival is one thing, but Alonso behaved in an unpredictable and dangerous manner when he did it. The Race has a good article explaining the reasoning behind the panalty: https://www.the-race.com/formula-1/alonso-russell-penalty-australian-gp-stewards-defence/ So how can you slow do...

Missed that Alonso got a penalty til now. Very confused. Is the art of slowing down in a corner to reduce the car behind’s momentum dead? Or is it just stewards bashing Alonso for the sake of it again? Slowing down your rival is one thing, but Alonso behaved in an unpredictable and dangerous manner...

Woah........... As per Peter Windsor, he has heard from reliable sources that Perez has already signed a contract extension for next year. In a way it makes sense to retain the same lineup before regulations change. Hoping Perez is consistent through the year. 1772066600193020008 Translation: "And ...

These tears-offs are really a pain in the backside: It continually frustrates and baffles me that we know all the problems these stupid tear-offs cause, and nothing has been done. There was brief discussion after the Spa race where a tear-off caused Leclerc's DNF of something like a disposal slot i...

Some would use the term "ran out of talent" (which I hate) for what Antonelli did, depending of course who the driver is.

Is Sainz fit to drive? That will be decided thursday, when he has to pass an FIA-test. 1. The installation of charging points is indeed lagging somewhat, in particular for homes without a driveway or a designated parking spot. That problem does not have to be solved by 2035, because at that point only new vehicles will be EV only. The existing fleet will probably drive around until 2...

I found last season rather boring. I'm at episode 6 currently but, really, a boring DTS season, full of the typical hype and the annoying F1 specialist/commentator that they feature in all seasons. Whatshisname? WILL BUXTON. He's the worst thing in DTS. I can't stand Buxton. Most annoying guy in th...

Curious how you know that the sensor was not faulty? Regardless, sensors do fail, and yet the rules do not provide any leway to penalize a car when they do. That is wrong. I don't, but no news has come out about it. I don't think it is wrong taking the human element out and instead relying on techn...

Yes I actually just saw this as well - he was moving when lights went out 100% should have been a penalty regardless of if he decided to stop momentarily again afterwards. That even makes it worse then, the sensors are not fit for purpose. All sensors have a +/- tolerance - just like everything els...

You can just use both surely. It's a bit ridiculous not to penalise a driver everyone very clearly saw move just because the sensor said he didn't. Although I could definitely see an argument for not penalising the sort of thing Norris did as he gained no advantage and didn't do anything unsafe. so...

Prema and especially Bearman bounced back in a dramatic fashion, that kind of movement from one end of the field to the other (between consecutive race weekends) we don't see in F1.

How about an inversed DRS; instead of (or in addition to) opening the DRS flap when close enough on straights, have a mechanism for increasing wing angles when close enough on the twisty parts :D Reverting to 2009 in a way?
