Re: 2021 - Exciting lineup & intra-team battles!

I think "Exciting lineup & intra-team battles" (topic) is a completely different topic than "The best team lineup" (poll). For instance I rate Mercedes and RB quite similarly when it comes to who has the best lineup, but the RB intra-team battle is far more exciting because Hamilton vs. Bottas is so...

Brundle doesn’t think that either Mercedes or Hamilton are slowing down anytime soon. In fact, he predicts Hamilton to retire with 10 world titles:

Yes it's worth remembering that was the condition of the sponsor who were to be paying for her drive rather than something the team asked her to do. Didn't the team try to negotiate with the sponsor for her to pose in a bikini without even clearing it with her first? That's pretty ordinary form in ...

I just read that W-series contender Emma Kimiläinen was very close to landing a seat in Indy Lights a few years back but she wouldn't agree with the teams (or rather main sponsor's) requirement of topless promotion x(

I expect when Russell steps up to Mercedes in 2022, it'll be clearer if Hamilton has dropped off. With Toto Wolff's 3 year deal at Mercedes, I expect Hamilton to sign on for 2+1. I suspect that George is an elite qualifier anyway. Actually, we might be looking at a freakish era for great qualifiers...

When even a veteran Hamilton supporter wants Russell in the car, surely Mercedes should take the hint from the worldwide audience and just make the call for Russell to drive? It may not be up to them, depends on Hamilton's contract. If there are no medical reasons for him to sit out the race they m...

Were I the team decision maker, I'd be questioning whether Mercedes need to pay Hamilton $50m to dominate F1... If you remove Hamilton from this years standings and move everyone up, then Mercedes go from 13 wins to 7. In 2019 from 15 to 10 In 2018 from 11 to 4 In 2017 from 12 to 6 If you eliminate...

What's sillier than silly?
Lewis missing the rest of the season and wonder-George performing miracles as his stand-in, leading to Lewis being slightly rattled and deciding he needs a new challenge so calls up Horner. Boom and we have Russell&Bottas vs. Verstappen & Lewis.

Regarding the barriers themselves, if it had been a tyre wall and if the car had exploded like it did, Grosjean would probably not have been able to exit the car as it would have been under the tyres (which might also have caught on fire, making matters even worse). If you're referring to Turkey, I'd reply by saying that the circumstances across the weekend (new surface plus wet weather) were unusual - or, in other words, novel.
I assumed the other usage for "novelty", amusing or silly.
