Re: PF1 Forum teammate wars vote: Italy 2025
Still thinking on Oscar vs. Lando. Not too much between them in a pretty uneventful race, until the team intervened and over thought things. Oscar played a part in making sure Lando got out of Q2. I would have thought Lando was pretty clearly better all weekend, with the possible exception of his s...

Re: 2025 Italian Grand Prix Race Thread
Ferrari finishing fourth and Vasseur talks about a good race and an encouraging weekend. x( With such a performance, Red Bull called in crisis meeting and changed things and staff - and see: they are back to domination. With a number of excellent updates back into their own class, some 20 sec ahead...

Re: 2025 Rookies
Bortoleto and Hadjar look, at this moment, the pick of the rookies imo. I think we are far enough along now to start forming more solid opinions. Antonelli isnt the next coming of Hamilton. I've been impressed with Bearman as well. He's basically matched Ocon all season. Antonelli has suffered from...

While picking Bottas & Perez makes sense for Cadillac, I do have admit, on a personal level, I was very much enjoying not hearing or reading about "Checo" 100 times a weekend. Not the guy mind you, although i've never really be a fan of his, just the name. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. I pr...

To be taken with a large grain of salt! I'm reading rumours that Ferrari are considering replacing Lewis with Camara after this season. The source is so tabloid-y that I won't even link it to prevent them getting any clicks they don't deserve.

You are, perhaps unwittingly, proving my point. But taking it to extremes will clarify it further. Let's say you avoid an oncoming vehicle on your side of the road by swerving into a bush but end up hitting a tree. Chances are that you cannot reclaim the repair cost on the other driver. Dude where ...

I wonder if he regrets his move to Ferrari. Not sure there is much pace difference between Ferrari and Mercedes but he doesn't seem to be able to extract as much out of the Ferrari.

Re: 2025 Belgian Grand Prix FP & Qualy/Sprint Thread
Just watched the sprint quali, has Hamilton said why he parked his car, making it impossible for anyone to improve? When he "parked", race direction showed green again and, for instance, Bearman improved. So, maybe it was on advice? I thought the brief green was a mistake or something, but good if ...

It's not really a personal preference for me. I just want great drivers to have the best career possible. The biggest outliers are Lawson and Tsunoda, I think I take the difficulty of driving the second Red Bull more into account than others have. That's a fair point to make. Why Lawson ahead of Yuki if you don't mind me asking? Yuki had two pretty good performances in the VCARB (were it not for the st...

Nice close duel between Verstappen and Piastri so far. Whenever I come back to this thread, the lead has changed. Also a huge gap after the top 5. Strange thing is that none of the revealed votes have Piastri ahead of Max. Why would that be strange? Edit: and another lead change! It's a little odd,...

I think it's possible that part of the reason they're cleaning the house is that it's been hard to find a good second driver because no one wants to go there looking at how the no2 drivers have fared the last 10 or so year.

I doubt either of these drivers would want to drive RBR against Max and ruin their career Does it even matter what Max is doing in the car? Yuki's results lately would look dire if he was alone, never mind Max. If both (or the only) drivers finish in P20 everyone would assume the car is the worst o...

I also think that the merit of making the one-stopper work are a bit underestimated. Certainly by Ferrari. Well there was no merit at all for Ferrari. They finish 3rd and 4th either way. In hindsight yes but a red flag or safety car could have brought him on the podium with a one-stopper so I don't...
