Re: 2020 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Race Thread
They need to fix this damn circuit. How on earth have they managed to build a layout so mundane and boring without being limited by streets? It's the 'old paradigm', the era when they tried stop/go tracks, thinking it will enhance overtakings. The greatest paradox is that its the opposite. This is ...

Bottas could be in trouble for the final laps, he's usually not great at long stints.
Or is he taking it slowly now to preserve the tyres?

What if the stewards deem Perez to be at fault for that incident though? I mean, i think he was partly responsible, but the stewards do vary their view sometimes. I would certainly blame leclerc mostly though. How could anyone not blame Stroll last week for not leaving any space but hold Pere...

Re: 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix Race Thread
If Russell wins it's a great story and great for him but I'm not utterly convinced it's great for Formula 1. I think it's great for F1, it just puts things in perspective. I don't think it's a flattering perspective from the outside. in the sense that it helps to change it in a better way.

Re: 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix Race Thread
Leclerc came from way back for Perez to actually be aware of him. And it still was some half of meter inside I think.
No way Perez's fault.
Gutted about losing those 3 drivers, I was so excited for this race.

Re: 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Thread
Honestly, my general impression of watching F2 is that DRS is totally redundant around this circuit. If FIA wanted to try one race without DRS, this is it. What would be the point, what are you trying to prove? To make an overtaking less processional and actually involve some skill? By the look of ...

That was a horrific accident, such a relief he got away.
I don't have much knowledge in safety measures, but wouldn't be better there with a shock-absorbing barrier, how is it called? or a few rows of tyres. Certainly then the car wouldn't enter through barrier and split in half.

As for Bottas he just got 'shown' again. He's good in specific, repetitive scenarios, like qualy, where with all the info, technology today he can climb up to Hamiltons pace. But where it's about more unusual circumstances where more creativity and instinct it's needed he's just... vapid.

Vettel yeah! I'm more and more inclined to call Hamilton the GOAT now he just hits all the marks, he's excellent in every aspect at this point, it's too much. I wasn't expecting to say this so soon after Schumacher stopped. I thought Schumacher was way more complete early on, but what Ham has is tha...

Verstappen vs rest of the world Lance Stroll says hold my beer. it was most of the session(s) Stroll came at the end and stole it.
