Re: Red Bull insiders: Alonso is faster than Kimi by some ma
Having followed this season closely I'm at peace with how Alonso and Kimi compare as racing drivers. I'm not gonna go into that. But I do have an issue with people using the "car not suiting driver" excuse. I feel like this has been used too often to shield drivers like Kimi and Button. So I want to...

I don't care about any other past incidents. I looked into this one as an isolated incident and found it quite dangerous and deliberate. I would hand Prost a two race ban for it.

Re: The Official Kimi Räikkonen thread
Very poor quali performance from Kimi yet again. I never thought he was a great qualifier but this is just bad. He can't seem to be able to put a nice and tidy lap together when it matters. Would he try a 1 stopper tomorrow ? Could be worth a gamble.

Re: Effect of F1 at Mercedes road car dealerships
I can not understand anyone who would pick their car based on what happens in F1. Why not ? When a auto company goes through a sustained period of success, like Ferrari '00-'04, their brand becomes synonymous to success and excellence in engineering. What is wrong with that being a factor in you pu...

After Schumacher left, I suddenly became an avid Alonso fan. It does just happen that you say, I like this guy, i'll start supporting him. Still, though, Ferrari are nowhere near as frustrating as Arsene Wenger. He let Falcao slip out of his fingers! Does he not have any common sense? Arsene Wenger...

Re: Question to Alonso fans - what next?
I feel that while its certainly true most fans do like a certain driver, that driver often gets them hooked on the sport and then they branch out into a feeling or support or connection to a group of drivers, or in many cases a dislike towards one driver. I feel that in many ways this generation is...

Re: Question to Alonso fans - what next?
I'm definitely one of those who find it hard to enjoy sport without supporting someone. That attachment simply adds an awful lot to my experience. So yes, I'll still support someone when Alonso is gone. Who that is I don't yet know. It's not a choice I make consciously. I am automatically drawn to c...

Well I've seen enough from Hamilton not to feel sorry for him. Nico has tarnished his reputation a little bit alright, although if he wins the WDC I'm sure he wouldn't look back with regret. I think Nico just wants to be world champion, whatever the cost. Maybe that apology was heart-felt or maybe h...

How can you Alonso fans forget Nurburgring 2007?! He and Massa had a series of corners of great wheel to wheel racing with some slight contact but not enough to damage either car. I distinctly remember after Alonso won that he pointed to the tire marks on his car from Massa's Ferrari for the camera...

Re: How does the grid rank on wheel-to-wheel racing?
Alonso is king of wheel-to-wheel. Kimi isn't far behind but he doesn't really attempt the kind of ambitious moves that Alonso does at very high speeds. Think of Spa 07 with Hamilton leading up to Eau Rouge and through. Then Silverstone this year with Vettel towards the end. I don't think most drive...

I can't believe Alonso or Vettel would want to go to McLaren, even if their current teams seem unlikely to catch Mercedes in the near future. At the end of the day, I doubt drivers have much/any influence on the cars' design/speed etc. The drivers will be important insofar as some will be able to extract the maximum from the car, whereas others will not. So IMO Alonso is certainly not to blame for Ferrari's poor cars, and has performed w...

Nah, Riccardo has no chance. He is too far behind and the Mercedes are way too fast. The Mercedes boys have enough cushion to trip over each other all day long and still wa...
