Re: Interlagos to be dropped from 2020 calendar
I have a couple of associates from Brazil and they are adamant that there is nothing to worry about. They say it's just politics and populist speeches/talking points. They don't think there's any way that this circuit will be built and they firmly believe that any F1 race in Brazil will remain at I...

Re: Halo credited for saving life in F2 race
This is for me the best proof that the Halo is a good addon. I couldn't care less how the car looks. Everyone is attracted by the danger of the sport, and yes it's exciting ....... especially if you are sitting in your underwear on your couch. Stick anything on the car that would prevent injury to ...

Re: 2018 Azerbaijan Grand Prix Race Thread
My wife screamed that Bottas had hit debris just before the puncture. I saw that too when it happened. The track was very dirty at that point. Bottas was not the only one to go over the debris, and I was very worried about the other drivers when I saw that happening. Bottas was the only unlucky eno...

Re: Massa retirement pt 2, The Real Deal
It is the right time for Massa to leave. But as a brazilian who enjoys F1 like many brazilians did for years and years I see Brazil is less and less interested about F1 each year. This is really sad news for me. If we keep going this way, soon we won't have any more drivers and even the race will be...

Very good work. I have just realized that I'm reading this forum since 2006 and I have no more than 20 posts(maybe I'm afraid of making mistakes when writing in english as it is not my first language). Even so, I decided to compliment your work. That shows how much I liked your job.

Re: TV viewership increases 17.9% in Canada
I know this is about Canada, but Meanwhile F1 is dying in Brazil. All of the races were always shown live on open tv for more than 30 years. Even practices. Now a few races are not even broadcasted any more. And every year it gets worse.

Re: Japan 1990. Was Prost to blame?
Senna should never be forgiven for what he chose to do. But ya know, a movie has been made about him and none about Prost and history will favour the heroes Schumacher was hit hard for less You did not forgive him for that? did you? So, he was not exactly forgiven. That said, what happened in 1990 ...

I dont think those from Senna and Prost(as examples) were that pretty. The drivers being brilliant and distinctive made the helmets look brilliant and distinctive.

However, 1988 Japanese Grand Prix. From wikipedia. The all-McLaren front row was the 11th of the year, but its drivers had contrasting fortunes. Prost led away from Berger and Capelli, while Ayrton Senna stalled on the grid. However, Suzuka Circuit had the only sloping grid of the year and he was ab...

Re: Senna Looking to Become a Feature Film?
Hmmm, At least it's not Antonio Banderas this time. I'm getting the feeling this guy is pushing himself into the position, rather than being selected on merit. Releasing such information so openly doesn't build help me build any confidence this will be a good production. I hope I'm wrong. Who wants...

I did not know there was actually plans to make a movie like this.
The only thing I can say is that this actor is a really good and respected actor. At least in Brazil.
I dont believe he would do something like this just for the money. So I think he is a wonderful choice.

Re: Why do Prost supporters love Prost?
If Prost's car were in the right position, Senna would have hit Prost's car from behind. So in other words, regardless of what Prost did and where his car was, Senna was going to crash into him. If this is what you're saying, then we can safely say that Senna was 100% at fault either way because it...

Edit: at this point Prost was already turning. http://img804.imageshack.us/img804/1680/foto2fj.jpg This pic is pretty damning! Reminds me of a few of Vettel's recent moves. It was a bold move by Senna but you don't ignore opponents out on the track and try to take your normal racing line when they ...

Re: Why do Prost supporters love Prost?
So it is a shame that this thread has to continue like this. This is a Prost thread and it is not usual having one despite how great Prost was or is. He surely deserves many threads. The problem is that some Prost fans like to do the same they accuse Senna fans of. Paint Prost as an angel. (Trying t...

Re: Why do Prost supporters love Prost?
Prost was just... driving in his racing line! Very stupid (dumb) defending attempt by Prost by the way. Edit: I only wrote like this because this was done before. If Senna was to miss the chicane, the only thing Prost had to do was wait. So how do you make that turn (at high speed) without first ste...

Prost saw how senna was attempting to pass so he began going in the corner much more earlier than he would for making an usual racing line. Now, if Sennas car was not there, what would be Prosts racing line? http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/6930/foto1ndx.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us Edit: at th...

Re: Why do Prost supporters love Prost?
Everyone knows that the 89' Japanese GP was a swindle, Prost had Senna DQ'd for 'cutting a chicane' what a joke. It is there for everyone to see what more proof can there be? Everyone what? On TV James Hunt famously showed the replays and explained that Senna attempted an impossible overtake, in ot...
