Re: The Official Lewis Hamilton thread
To clarify, I started this because I though that I thought the comment about braids had an element of race in it, that's how it felt to me. So I showed it to a few people, I then went on to point out that on reflection the surrounding comment was about having a go at LH's image rather than race and...

Re: The Official Lewis Hamilton thread
I thought about this more and have a further comment. First, I would like to apologise for singling the kris's kross comment out. That in itself isn't the racist part. The fact his hair was even brought up is. I don't see you commenting on Bottas' hair or Perez's. Why is that? I would suggest it is...

Re: The Official Lewis Hamilton thread
Its not about race, its about LH presenting an image. Why should he have to look like DW or revert to an 'older image of LH?' Why does he need to win people over? He doesn't. But why can't we say he looks like Kriss Kross without being accused of being a racist? If we said he looked like Denzel Was...

Re: The Official Lewis Hamilton thread
He looks like the kid from Kriss Kross. Previously he looked like Dwayne Dibbly from Red Dwarf. When he starts looking like Denzel Washington, or even like Lewis Hamilton again, he might win more people over. If the other comments were racist or offensive to God, then my comment probably makes me a ...

This is Nico Rosberg's Official Thread, not one to discuss Lewis Hamilton or his supporters. In order to discuss one driver, sometimes you have to put his achievement into perspective by discussing another. I.e. I'm stating that Rosberg behaved very well today in comparison to his team mate when ex...

Re: The Official NICO ROSBERG thread
Is this where all the Lewsy fans step in and shout 'conspiracy theory!!'? Yes? Rosberg did well today - particularly liked that he stayed for the whole race and seemed to be having a laugh with his wife straight after jumping out of the car. Lewis could learn a thing or two from Rosberg about how to...

Re: Mercedes may consider change to driver line up...
I'd get rid of Hamilton ASAP and stick Hulkster in the car. Would surely make for an easier life at Merc and save a huge amount of money. I would also make sure that Rosberg is this year's champion so that a 'star driver' is still in the team. But I'm a scheming so and so who looks after every cent ...

Re: How would Michael have fared in this years Merc?
Due to a ridiculous warning I got from a mod, I'm not allowed to mention the name of the driver who was born in 1969. So I'll just call him Bob. I think Bob was ace in 2012 and was back on form. All of his accidents came when he was stuck in the midfield, silly collisions etc., which, in fairness, h...

Re: Is Hülkenberg overrated?
His performance in 2013 is what sealed the deal for me. He kept qualifying the car where it had no business being qualified, then held off the 'big boys' for lap after lap after lap. His ability to soak up this kind of pressure shows a tremendous strength and ability to keep up the pace. Gary Anders...

Re: Was Vettel a mirage?
Whatever about how quick Vettel was in practice and qualifying - even in the race - I believe the question is valid. Shouldn't a 4 time world champion (and, therefore, you would hope, just about the best on the grid) be able to handle a newcomer? I don't like Vettel, but I always thought he was damn...

The problem was not the strategist; the problem was Hamilton's gigantic ego. Again. Cost Merc the win today. Maybe when he's older he'll figure this stuff out.

Yep, if I was Merc, I probably wouldn't be offering Lewis anymore money than Rosberg. Unfortunately for Lewis, he has that huge marketing agency working for him, so he probably loses a sizable chunk of his salary to commission, which Rosberg most likely does not have. To my eyes, Vettel is suddenly ...

I vote yes as I really don't like to see marshals running across a 'live' track. All it takes is the slightest misjudgement etc. for something trivial to suddenly turn serious - like that marshal in Canada a few years back. And the notorious incident many years ago...

Don't like them at all, and feels like F1 giving into peer pressure just because of the current fad for big wheels. I would be interested to hear if there is any difference in ride quality, as there is in real life when low profile tyres are added.

I know they can't pull out of F1 as there would be uproar in Italy. When you think, they spend $400 million a year, how much of that is spent on employment and suppliers? I think they are a great pairing. The fast and reliable Hulkster and slightly erratic but 'on his day unbeatable' Perez. Calm versus flamboyant. Both of them have great race pace, too.

Hulkster did exactly the same thing last year in Korea when he held Alonso at bay for the whole race. That's a Sauber Ferrari. Vs. a Ferrari Ferrari. Good Lord. I liked Lewis last year, but this week I've done a complete u-turn, starting with the rather condescending 'I should be dominating Rosberg' to his refusal to accept Rosberg's apology yesterday, and now to his rather shameful appearance on the podium at Monte Carlo. I now hope Rosberg smas...

Thought Vettel did really well on Sunday. Riccardo has been a pleasant surprise this year, too. Love the fact he's always smiling - if he had started chatting to the girls in the post-race room, I wouldn't have been surprised.
I certainly would have said 'hola' to one or two. Or three.

I believe Jensen and Hamilton both have a 'killer instinct' which Rosberg lacks. Eg. another driver might have 'smelt blood' and caught Hamilton on Sunday. I think Rosberg's head has dropped. Hamilton is doing very well at the moment. However, in 2011 he showed that he has the ability to let his hea...

I love Murray - I hope I'm like him when I'm 90!!! Also I agree with him - FI have quietly been getting the job done. Regarding the driver's (and marshal's) health, I'm more concerned by the post-accident microscopic shards of carbon fibre which can penetrate the body and do serious damage.
