Why not use a screen with a re-enforcing carbon lip? (as stated by toby) you will get near enough the same strength as with the use of a central brace without visual obstruction.

JB is from my home town so was bound to get my support, the bonus is he is a good man, and got his moment to shine at the top of his sport at least the once.

Things don't fail due to luck, many other things cause fails these things work because of engineering and fail because of it by my logic, but if I was Lewis they yer the emotional side of me would feel irrational and suspect and question what the hell was going on because it dose not feel right.
