Re: Official Australian GP Qualifying thread

The one thing that wasn't broken... now is. Even I could see this coming from 'miles' away... and said as much, when it was announced. If the FIA wanted more cars on track in the now 'old format', all they really needed to do was allocate two sets of new super-softs (instead of one) to all teams at ...

I think Alonso would be just a tad ahead. While Lewis is very, very good and the guy I usually wish to win (it's a Caribbean connection 'thing')... he is not as consistent as Fernando. I think FA's time as a test driver and time in cars which were less than stellar, has contributed greatly to his ov...

I think Lewis is irritated not because he lost pole, but by what he feels was a direct attempt by Nico to hamper him trying. I don't personally know Lewis, but he strikes me as the kind of guy who likes a fair fight on track against anybody. I've never heard him ask his team to subdue an attacking t...

It'd be really hard to prove he did it intentionally. A look at Nephilist's link does look very odd though. The additional torque created by ERS would probably be really 'hard' on the power train if used that much.
I'd think the only issue with DRS deployment, would be not over-speeding the powertrain and gearbox during 'unloading' for passing.

Double points was the most "stupid" idea in recent times. It's not like the FIA didn't hear from fans and teams alike before implementing. If two teams are consistent throughout the season, all it would take is one car issue at that final race to seal the WDC. How is that not influencing the results...
