I'm a Williams supporter because as kid Nigel Mansell was the driver that I supported back then in the 80s and 90s.
I support Lewis Hamilton because he is from the British Isles, but if there was a Scot in F1 then I would support them first and foremost.

What Di Resta has in favour is Mercedes backing also working for Skysports F1 from the PR side might have done him some favours and being also the Williams reserve driver has been a good move for
Di Resta that might help him get the 2nd Williams seat which I think he has a good shout of getting.

I just read on the latest blog of a certain journalist (who shall remain nameless, but I think it's obvious who I mean) that Jolyon Palmer is a strong candidate for a seat at Williams for 2018, this journalist also seems to rate Palmer and says he has just been unlucky. Who knows now take what's going on at Force India one their drivers might be on the move?
I thought Alonso might end up at Renault or Indy Car but not to sure now.
As for a Williams move why not, I think there might be a driver change at Williams for 2018?

Jim Clark died before I was born.
But it say's a lot for the mans achievements that after 49 year's since his death that Jim Clark is up-there with the other Scottish sporting legends and has never been forgotten.
A sad loss to Motorsport and to his Country.

What I would say is that Manor have some good people there plus the bonus of a Mercedes engine.
Let's hope a buyer can be found for the team and get some sponsorship on the car ASAP.
As for driver's there won't a problem there.

If Manor and Sauber CAN get a decent driver line-up for 2017 and I hope they do, it could be a nice battle with Williams next season?
Mind you they might blame it on a rookie driver and a driver been a bit rusty after retirement.

I think it's similar to Paul di Resta, came in as DTM Champion like di Resta - A lot of hype like di Resta and maybe Wehrlein thought he would go onto better things after one season?
But I think Wehrlein has a great future in F1, but its going to take patience and hard work and some PR/media skills.
