Re: Official 2020 MotoGP Thread

Marquez has been declared fit to race in Jerez this weekend, and is planning to ride on saturday to see if his arm can withstand the pressure and fatigue of racing, obviously with the idea to minimize points loss. This will truly be impressive if he can ride around the injury to place in the points....

Re: Mugello (and Sochi) races to be confirmed imminently.

I really, REALLY hope that these jokers in F1 don't butcher the lovely gravel traps that this track has with tarmac run-off. Obviously they won't do it this year, but someone will start squawking about it if they keep coming back here. Mugello is one of the most majestic and beautiful tracks on the ...

Official 2020 MotoGP Thread

Yes my friends, the premier road-racing series has officially announced (as of four days ago, to be accurate) that the 2020 season will go ahead, albeit a strange, repetitive and shortened calendar (13 rounds). The following rounds are confirmed: Spain Jerez 19 Jul Andalucia Jerez 26 Jul Czech Rep B...

It is a beautiful track to look at, but I don't think it will be fun to watch the current cars race on, although with their super high downforce the sweep through Piratella and the Rivazza's will be at speeds never seen before. The spectacle of the current car on an old-school track would be fabulou...

While I agree Valencia is NOT a place I'd want Hamilton to be on a MotoGP bike, Abu Dhabi with it's absurdly long straight and close barriers all over is not a place a motorcycle race should ever be run, especially considering a modern MotoGP bike easily hits 215mph, maybe more, especially on that s...

Not sure Crutchlow shouldn't get the nod before Zarco, and Zarco could then go to LCR, if they rated him, which they might. He's been doing a good job on Takaa's bike, especially last week. Difficult to have a flowing circuit using existing roads. If I am correct that is what they'll be using. If not, I agree with you, flowing circuits using natural landscape prevail. That being said, most if not all passing is done in braking zones, and these do have some hard braking zones here, whic...

It's been a fun season to watch for me, as I don't share the opinion that many people have, that the races are not exciting unless there are four people vying for victory on the last lap, at least in the GP class. If that is what these folks desire, Moto 3 delivers it nearly every race. That's not a...
