Purely on merit he would struggle to retain hi seat. But I suspect, without him there is no team.

Re: Equalising F1
For anyone who wants to watch racing series where cars are equal they have plenty to choose from already. its not much fun having a 2 tier formula one either. i guess i am suggesting ways to give teams a chance to fight back when they have large deficit to other, potentially bigger teams. the end r...

Increasing F1 competitiveness
Over the years of watching F1 and keeping an eye on other feeder series, it is clear that the biggest issue within F1 is the disparity between teams. Once in every few years, one team is able to dominate the field as a result of getting the car in a much better shape than the others, a la Ferrari/ R...

Speaking in Italian on the podium, in Australia, was unnecessary. He is overdoing it. Borderline cringeworthy.

Re: Theory why Ferrari/Alonso could have fallen out
Are we sure the answer isn't simpler? That Alonso hasn't gotten the 3rd WDC he so desperately craves in the latter stages of his career. As Ferrari have just started restructuring it's feasible to believe that McLaren will be competitive before Ferrari are fighting for the WDC/WCC again. Or it coul...

Re: Theory why Ferrari/Alonso could have fallen out
Theory A1 is still Alonso wanted a car capable of winning the championship. 4 false starts and an upcoming year looking as an also ran will do it. Sure Alonso wants a good car, but he's going to an untested engine 1yr behind the curve. Next yr teams have another opportunity to tweak the engines wit...

Re: Theory why Ferrari/Alonso could have fallen out
The engine is the primary determinant in the new Formula. If rumours are to be believed, the Honda engine is behind schedule and heavy. And those rumors came from the Italian press. Is it not plausible that the Italian press do not want Alonso to leave Ferrari? IMO Honda are very serious, and if th...

Re: Theory why Ferrari/Alonso could have fallen out
There's no need for any grand theories. why not? especially when an intelligent driver like Alonso is moving to an inferior chassis and an untested engine. McLaren have signed a shed load of technical personnel in the last few months. Ferrari haven't signed anyone. The engine is the primary determi...

it's well known that Ferrari were trying to lure Adrian Newey around Monaco time, perhaps they were trying to replicate the Newey/Vettel combo that Alonso vetoe'd The Newey deal apparently died when Domenicalli left the team sure, im just trying to point out that i wont be surprised if ferrari was ...

Theory why Ferrari/Alonso could have fallen out
Ferrari wanted to get Vettel/Alonso as their driver pairing for 2016, seeing Vettel as their man for the future given his age. Alonso wanted to veto that and they fell out over it, Honda steps in and siezes the opportunity to lure Alonso away from Ferrari. it's well known that Ferrari were trying to...
