Re: Forum verdict on the Hamilton/Verstappen collision
So to summarise. Max 1. Went off at turn 1, retaining the lead 2. Understeered straight onto lewis line at turn 6 after coming from half a car length alongside lewis, forcing lewis off his line. Crash without lewis taking evasive action. 3. Made two seperate movements to defend the inside (illegal)...

Re: How will Max and Lewis race each other for the rest of the season?
I hope Max returns the favor in the future. Senna vs Prost in the making. I think we live in different times, a deliberate take out would surely result in a race ban. I think yesterday bordered on deliberate from Hamilton (see the stewards' comments about car 44 not trying to make the apex), but it...

Re: How will Max and Lewis race each other for the rest of the season?
I'm of the opinion that Max might be a little more measured in his aggression where LH is concerned. I was discussing this with someone at the time, and I pointed out that the fact that it ended badly this time for MV may make him more careful in future Yeah it's kind of amazing that people think t...

Re: How will Max and Lewis race each other for the rest of the season?
I'd hope Max comes back a little more measured in his aggressive style. This could have easily been the third or even fourth major shunt between the two drivers this year but we have seen Hamilton has been the driver that yields realising that Max would take them both off. Now Hamilton has demonstr...

Re: Will Hamilton reach his century of wins in 2021?
Apparently it wasn't ok to call it dirty or deliberate when KImi understeered into Hamilton at Silverstone 2018 spinning him to the back of the pack, Hamilton would later retract what he said but you would still pull him up for it as it being a stain on his character. Today after Hamilton understee...

Re: Will Hamilton reach his century of wins in 2021?
Well, as long as he has an obedient team mate (funny how no one cries about team orders when Lewis is the beneficiary) and as long as he keeps punting Max off then 100+ is easily achieveable. It's ok for his fans when he does it - when other's do it it's dirty. Apparently it wasn't ok to call it di...

Re: How will Max and Lewis race each other for the rest of the season?
I think this will make Max more aggressive against Hamilton moving forward. Hamilton usually doesn't go for overtakes around the outside, and I can see Max squeezing Hamilton further on the inside the next time the situation arises.

Re: Uncharacteristic errors from Hamilton and Verstappen
I read some mumblings on here after the Sprint race about Hamiltons poor start going as a mistake. Any thoughts on Verstappens start yesterday? Would he have been penalised for going all four wheels off to retain the lead? Hamilton got the better start, but Verstappen kept the lead though. Doubt it...

Last year, Albon got 5 seconds for this penalty, which Horner called a racing incident. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nF1dxWjFdvQ (Can't embed due to FOM's dinosaur social media policy) Not comparable though, for a couple of reasons: 1. Max had loads of room to his outside but turned in on Lewis. We know Max races very close to the line at times so he can't complain when someone races him hard and it ends in tears.
