Re: Ferrari team orders in Russia
I think Vettel broke his car. As with all thing that are bleeding edge, you can expect some configurations ie engine, MGH unit setting etc, to be very near operational limit or even known to be unreliable for continuous use. Perhaps they are made available for short bursts of time so that if the dri...

Re: Vettel's post-Canada behaviour
Acceptable only because it is rebellious to the neat and tidy order F1 is trying to project (that is their problem) and penalties are their manipulation tool to try to obtain perception of neat and tidy. Good luck to F1 management on that. If you scan images of Vettel you see he wears a frown most o...

Re: Verstappen should have been given blue flag to let Ocon
As long as there is a rule that permits a backmarker to unlap himself, they are an aspect of race day that *must* be managed just like any other detail. And if that had happened the spectators watching on TV and in the stands would have had such a richer experience; the commentators would be talking...

Tyre pressure issues aside. Perhaps 27º over the max temp is likely also an attempt to recook the rubber and thus change part of the fundamental "performance" characteristics of the tire. A couple of year ago there was some speculation that the Lotus garage has some elaborate procedure with used tir...

He gets just the right amount of criticism. He does tend to get tangled in what otherwise would be "easily" avoided circumstances. Sometimes he instigates, and at other times he is a passenger. I would say that his participation spiced up F1 action quite a bit and I'd personally be less interested i...

Re: What's wrong with Yasuhisa Arai? Or is it Honda?
Hello everyone. I think Honda's problem is an engineering foresight issue first, and then fuel related very closely in second. With fuel flow restrictions, there are two tricks left to achieve more HP; they are an increase efficiency (more/better combustion, ERS energy capture), and increase energy ...

Vettel has a point. The tires don't need to explode/delaminate or otherwise fail in spectacular fashion. Re: Poll on Refueling.
I'm for refueling. But I think it is a good idea to require at least 50 kg tanks so as not to give up weight variances as they apply to performance. Perhaps a further requirement could be that each car must start with a full tank. I think the total fuel required for an F1 event running at the limits...

The Hulk's only weakness is that he over 6' tall and weighs in accordingly, a disadvantage for a team and their ability to strategically place ballasts. Cry baby tactics. I might go so far as to suggest that Mercedes is not running their PU's in full power. But even that is strategic and makes perfect sense.
