Re: 2022 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Race Thread
Vettel dropped 10 car lengths behind webber though didn't he, not the SC. And that was the difference. Webber was behind the SC but needed to pit so Vettel then dropped well behind the SC to ensure that Webber didn't lose too many places when he came back out of the pits to rejoin the SC train. But...

I think as soon as Christian told the media that Max should build the team around him Daniel was looking for an out, what hope do you have when your boss says something like that, there is only one option and that is to leave and seek alternative arrangements.

Congratulations Max excellent drive.
Actually excellent drive from the top 4. Defiantly agree with sandman this race was decided by the strategists of both teams.
Feel gutted for Dan, he was controlling that race for so long.

Decent race, good to see that it wasn't just Lewis romping off into the distance, glad to see that Ferrari is in the mix. Sad, sad news. I'll second that sentiment. Sad indeed, I assume you mean the lack of financial arrangement. Poor JB just got completely screwed. It's been discussed before ad-nauseam, F1 hasn't adapted to the realities of the current generation. The generation with short attention spans, changing viewing habits, people that are time poor, a market flooded with choice... Wait what where we discussing again?

I think the Red Bull was definitely the best, one renault got the engine into a usable state they could finally take advantage of the chassis. It's a pity they didn't have more power so they could compete with Mercedes. As for the other teams pretty much agree with MDS.

I don't see why VW Group would even want to enter into F1 at all, compare F1 to WEC which has more open rules and more relevant technology transfer for a fraction of the cost. I wonder if they are doing a full power unit change, as they are starting from the pit lane anyway and changing a power unit requires you to start from the pit lane they may as well and then run the engines at full wick.

Seb has got the same problem that Mark had in previous years, he's got a car he's not completely comfortable with. If he can get over that I think he's going to get back on top, but Ricciardo has been very impressive to date and I can only see him moving up and up.
