Re: Indy 500 2017
Btw, why do the winner have to drink milk? "Three-time Indianapolis 500 winner Louis Meyer regularly drank buttermilk to refresh himself on a hot day and happened to drink some in Victory Lane as a matter of habit after winning the 1936 race. An executive with what was then the Milk Foundation was ...

Btw, why do the winner have to drink milk? Somebody drank buttermilk after winning the race in the 30's, and some exec in the milk industry saw photos in the newspapers of the driver drinking milk, and got the idea to try to have the winners drink milk every year. I think the tradition stopped in t...

Dammit he's passed away. A terrible damn day. :( :( He was the last of a long line of American MotoGP world champions. Such a popular guy in the paddock. I don't think anyone is discounting the possibility that either Hamilton or Alonso could come out on top if they were teammates...But, again, the fact that it's not easy to do something or that you have only done it a couple of times, does not make it a fluke. You need the car and the team to do it...

That's an odd way to look at it. You could also say that Alonso needed a freak collapse in the final 2 races just to tie Hamilton in the points in his rookie year and despite Alonso having #1 status for a third of the season. It's not odd at all, really. Drivers can have a bad run of form or luck o...

You know he had winning designs before Red Bull right? Of course, all those cars had blown diffusers. No they didn't. Newey and everyone else went away from them in the mid 90's because they caused too much of a balance shift between on and off throttle. The FW18 and 19 didn't use one, and I'm fair...

He was already beating him in 2012 . There are similarities between Michael's mechanically-compromised final season and Lewis' own last year. On track both had Rosberg's measure, but the points don't reflect that. There's every reason to believe Schumacher would have provided stiff competition to R...

Barichello finished 12th when he ran there for the first time in 2012. Thanks for the clarification. Sounds as if Indycars are a lot cheaper to produce and run than F1 cars. I could not believe Chevy themselves were working on race cars and engines, out of the back door as in musclecar and Chaparral days. Seems as if the Chevvy name (how many vees?) is just for market...
