Re: 2025 Austrian Grand Prix Race Thread
... Literally nobody on his forum, and barely any in the media is talking about a intrateam WDC "battle" with two drivers separated by 15 points. Why is that? Why are you not talking about it if it's as interesting as you claim it to be? Or rather not as dull as the posters you clap back at are cla...

Re: 2025 British Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Thread
Lindblad will be driving Tsunoda's car in FP1. I'm interested to see how it goes. It's more of an audition. If he goes well, Yuki out this weekend? Do you mean "after" this weekend? Or that they'll trust a 17-year-old with a couple of tests under his belt (let's exclude the Leeds stunt!) with the w...

50-70% chance of rain during qualifying and 30-50% during the race. Silverstone never disappoints. The UK has been dry for months as well. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2637827 Based on my expertise in British weather from watching Clarkson's farm, it should rain with a 100% chance! Re: Official Max Verstappen thread
I think any Max Vs Lewis head to head is pointless now. Verstappen would destroy him. The earliest it can occur would be Lewis at 42. Vertsappen Vs Bottas could be interesting, but even Bottas will be 36 next season. George is the closest but Hamilton was likely slightly post peak by 2022/23 and cer...

He is going to Mercedes isn’t he? Unless Horner holds a gun to his head to keep him.
A chance for Max to claim a GOAT status by crushing Russell? I personally would love to see this battle. Probably the closest we can get to seeing a comparison between Hamilton and Vertsappen.

It will be interesting to follow his career. He is in that rare club of winning F2 in his debut season and also has the F3 championship debut win as well. GP2/F2 debut winners - Rosberg, Hamilton, Hulkenberg, Leclerc, Russell and Bortoleto. He is in extremely good company. I know Leclerc and Russell...

Re: Who is favourite for the championship?
Lando has brought himself back into play. They’re pretty equal at the moment with maybe a slight edge to Lando pace wise on current form (the last 3-5 faces). The 5 races before that Oscar won 4 of them and was ahead 4-1. Ahead when both finished is now OP 6-5 LA. I still think Oscar is favourite bu...

So getting the delta on the first pit stop was pointless He had 4 lap fresher tyres, should have given him a 0.1 a lap at advantage least + he thought he was quicker, so 0.2 a lap quicker at least . He only closed the gap from 5.7 to 4.3 in around 25 laps. He did not do enough with the advantage. O...

Piastri not done enough this stint, maybe he prefers the mediums, maybe he was dragged along with DRS. I can’t see him winning from 5+ seconds back with 17-18 laps to go.

I may have missed it, but I'm surprised there is nothing being said about Tsunoda's performance. For obvious reasons I am not going to watch this movie. I must admit I liked Rush quite a lot, so making a good movie about Formula One is hardly mission impossible. Re: Who is favourite for the championship?
After what happened on Sunday, I think McLaren should impose some rules for the two drivers. Maybe like who qualifies ahead gets priority or who's leading after the first round of pit stops will remain ahead etc. All this because they shouldn't forget about Verstappen's consistency. He's the only t...

Interesting comments from Lewis about 2007, I know earlier on in this thread (or maybe another) there was speculation that Alonso received no preferential treatment in 2007. Norris has more raw speed but still prone to errors whereas Piastri seems like a complete package that's still about to reach his full potential.
