Re: Lewis doesn't want to share data with Bottas

Does seem a strange thing to say, tbh. It's not "his" data: it's the team's. And if the team thinks that using that data will help maximise both cars' finishing potential, then why shouldn't they use that? Bit of attention grabbing here, I think Welcome, hang tight my friend. Re: Lewis doesn't want to share data with Bottas

I'm finding this a bit disingenuous, tbh. You're the one who attacked the other poster for his views, yet you're upset because people can't debate civilly? We can have a good debate about this. Just don't turn it into a "you must hate Hamilton" thread and problem solved I am not upset. I do find th...

Hamilton, and every driver in Formula One is part of a team. Leading up to the race itself, the TEAM work in unison to tune the car and maximize it's performance. Re: Potential disciplinary action against Hamilton by Merced

I also wrote that Lewis was actively selling himself at the time, which is why we got the situation we did. Schumacher was dithering, Lewis became available, Mercedes moved to secure his services. That was the sequence of events. You make it sound as though Mercedes' success was contingent upon Lew...

Re: Potential disciplinary action against Hamilton by Merced

Specifically is pretty much impossible to do without access to medical records. But if you completely rule out age having any kind of impact upon driver performance then I suggest you are not being realistic. How many 40 year old drivers are on the grid? Do you think it's coincidence that the major...

Re: Potential disciplinary action against Hamilton by Merced

Would those that don't consider Hamilton one of the GOAT change that opinion if he won another 3 easy titles at Mercedes? Hamilton seems to care more about his legacy (in an emotional sense) than any other driver I have seen. I think he would see winning a championship for Ferrari as so much more v...

You don't think that Hamilton was a bigger name than Schumacher mk2 the driver that finished behind Rosberg every season, there is a reason why he was given that name, and who are these other top names that Mercedes could have signed? Would Rosberg Have Retired If Hamilton was Not his Teammate?

Even though Nico has presented his reason for retiring as mainly due to achieving his childhood ambition of becoming WDC, I believe, the truth is that he fled because of the futility of beating Hamilton and because he couldn't bare the humiliation of losing. Many drivers have been left scratching th...

Yes, I would have to agree with your assessment of Vettel who has really not demonstrated, with any consistency, the highest levels of ability outside of his drives in the fastest car, unlike Hamilton that has won every year and especially in 2008 without the best machinery. I don't think Schumacher ever had the 'off times' that Hamilton had in 2011, 2013 (beaten by team-mate, not adapted to car-team) or the early part of 2016. Like the other great drivers from Fangio to Senna, Schumacher always performed at his best. Schumacher's return career in 2010-2012 showed his ...

Hamilton's probably only got another 5 years and I don't see him likely to get 40 wins in that time. Don't forget that Schumacher's average is brought down by his Mercedes stint. Hamilton's Win Rate Compared to Schumacher

While Schumacher's absolute number of 91 wins might never be equaled, Hamilton at win rate of 28.19% might be able to approach quite close to Schumacher's at 36.4% (29.54% after F1 return) which is still the highest of the modern era. I believe Scumacher would have easily won in the McLaren, both in 2007 and 2008. There is no data to support that statement without qualifying which type of driver would have been Schumachers teammate in the McLaren and also taking into consideration how F1 evolves over time. Schumacher was a throw...

I know Hamilton said "Its tough being my teammate", but this is ridiculous. First he broke Alonso and now Rosberg both fled from the heat of competition.

Can someone please tell me what is "brave" about Rosberg's decision? I thought brave was runing into a burning building to save a helpless child.

WDC's Number of Season Losses to a Teammate - Vettel leads!

I expect this to change in the comming years and it should be interesting to see how it plays out. Button and Schumacher of course are done. Kimi can only keep losing.

Vettel 1
Hamilton 2
Fernando 2
Schumacher 3
Rosberg 4
Button 4
Kimi 5
