Re: The F-Duct
I have no grudge against you in regards to posts you may or may not have made about my preferred driver, but rather I feel as though I'm taking a stand for I'm sure the many forumers who grow tired of your pointless posts. In most cases you offer nothing to a topic, but rather seek out to undermine...

Di Resta had 51% votes when I posted this. It's 44% now, in the space of a couple of hours. I think he owes me a smile.BlueSharky wrote:Eat humble pie, y'all!

yes, I think the weight of expectation on Perez is far, far greater. One is expected to do well in a McLaren, not prop up the midfield PDR's career is on the line, not Perez. Macca know that the car is not upto the mark and it's simply due to JB's brilliance that they have 14 WCC points. But yes, P...

Re: Di Resta v Perez
I voted Perez because IMO Perez will have a better half season, I believe that he is having a rough patch from the pressure being put after a few successful races last season and being signed by McLaren, by half season McLaren will surely improve, develop and sort their car. And Di-Resta has no pre...

The Official Chinese GP Practice Thread.
Kicks off tomorrow. Weather reports indicate a dry, but cool environment.
Lotus are going to come out on top in at least two sessions. You heard it here first.
It'll be the make or break race of the 2013 season for McLaren too.

But Force India are an ABOVE AVERAGE team, even though they have nearly 3/4th of the average driver votes. How is FI an above average team? They have Red Bull, Ferrari, and Lotus well ahead of them. I'm so sorry guys. I must henceforth never go on PF1 in the middle of my drunken shenanigans. It was never my intent to disrupt the thread. OT : I don't think Bird flu is much of a threat for the GP. The drivers don't even eat the local foods, preferring the high carbs diet recommended by their trai...

Re: Name the track from the throttle inputs to the engine
Yes, I suppose you're right, but if you consider that the start finish is a straight, there seems to be one longish and two smallish straights in the clip. Looking from that perspective, it could simplify things. I'm not too sure of it myself.

Name the track from the throttle inputs to the engine
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nX2L-kS7ZL8 This is Renault's v10 on the dyno. It appears to be definitely simulating the engine rpm of some particular track. Judging from the really smart comments by track aficionados on the "Name this corner" thread, I was hoping someone could figure out the track ...

Re: When driver and team interests / opinion clash
1. The team boss usually asks the driver which tyres he's comfortable on, and trusts his judgement. 2. Nobody pits for inters from slicks when the first droplets of rain still haven't fallen, considering the fickle weather reporting these days. They usually start conserving the slicks for a few more...

You could have added a TL;DR section at the end :P Jokes apart, a very informative insight. Driving conservatively takes TONS of skill to keep all components ...

China 2013 :
Webber will pit when Seb is due in, making him wait in the pit lane. As an added bonus, Webber will casually idle his engine for a good 20 seconds more, before vacating the box.
You heard it first here. If the team doesn't punish SV for his impunity, the onus is on MW.

The crux of the matter is that if you look at the sports section of the Hindustan Times, cricket covers 3 pages, while F1 is relegated to a small corner article on the last page, along with other obscure sports like Rowing, Boxing, Hockey, and internal politics in some silly sports committee that no...

Absolutely. I'm thrilled beyond words that Force India are blasting the rest of the midfield to smithereens this season. In fact, India are on the verge of crushing Australia in a record breaking 4-0 series whitewash in cricket, and I couldn't care less. I was an ardent cricket fan, who switched to ...

Thanks Moore. I'll check Hoch out. And haz, I had no intention of nicking them. The watermark in the center does little apart from ruining several shots. I absolutely respect DRM, but Darren should have preserved the beauty of the images by moving the watermark to a less conspicuous location.

Does anyone know a site/photographer who does stunning artistic shots of F1 cars in motion/the curcuit landscape/the passion of the fans or something like that?
Afaik, sutton just does highly detailed shots of the cars, and I'm not looking for those types of pictures.

What is the point of having pit stop practices without full gear? I could safely assume the suit would be a lot heavier and clumsier to work with. Shouldn't they need to practice pit stops WITH the suits in order to get acclimatized to working with the extra load and improve times?

Doping in F1 doesn't boost your performance as much as it does it other sports. In marathons, athletes dope in order to sustain their speed over a longer time, in sprints, they dope to boost their speed, pretty much the same in cycling. F1 isn't as physical as all these other sports. Sure, it's dema...
