Re: The Official Football Thread
Meh. Humiliated. Destroyed. We've played a ver solid first half, controlling most of the game. But once again, without our only reference in attack every scoring effort was futile. After Roben impressive goal, everything fell apart. Pique's own goal was a joke. He played a hell of a game until Roben...

Re: The Official Football Thread
I'm not a gambler but I reckon 10/1 odds on Real to win the Champs League might be worth a flutter. A 3-0 win at home to Borussia wouldn't be completely impossible and anything can happen in the final. i was thinking to give it a try, just in case they end up winning the CL at least I'd make some c...

So that was it! I was not surprised at all of what happened yesterday, I knew our main goal yesterday was to leave the Alliance arena alive...but we blatantly failed. I saw this coming from miles away, so I was not angry or shocked at all "if we play Bayern or Madrid like we played PSG or Milan, the...

oh man probably the worst match of this season....yet we passed; had it been Madrid or Bayern and we'd been kicked out by 2 o 3 goals vs nil. IF we're to be in the CL final we better 1) get back Messi and 2) remember how to play against teams which pressure in in the 3/4 field the shooting was almo...

I could not stand watching the little Napoleon going away from the spanish league this season with another CL, priding himself of what "he" has achieved. Mou? Re: The Official Football Thread
first and foremost, congratulations to Real Madrid, they wanted it more and fully deserved to win to Barcelona, same old story, possession with no end product, no plan B, just a humiliating 0-3 defeat at home. We have Real again this weekend, and i honestly don't know how we can do well if we perfo...

Re: The Official Football Thread
It was a painful game to watch. There was too much side to side ball movement without any real attempt to score. Messi was forced to drop extremely deep to even get the ball and he was being hounded off the ball the moment he got it. Trying to play 4 MF's Iniesta, Xavi, Cesc, and Busquets just does...

I genuinely don't know how we are so far ahead in the league Messi? ... and 22 more, all of them supported by a club management model that has taken nearly 30 years to develop. Probably the fact that the 2nd half slow down has coincided with Tito's illness and retirement from the front line has som...

oh man...what a s* week, now barca also with a foot and a half out from the CL
we had to play one of the worst games this season yesterday against Milan...doh ~65 minutes with the ball to shoot one or two times in the goal. At least against Chelsea's bus we hit 4 times the post. Meh.

Re: The Official Football Thread
Also is it weird that I want to see Messi play in another team? Xavi and Iniesta (and Cesc) would make pretty much any player look good (except maybe Gervinho), and I'm curious to see how he'd do in a team that doesn't have such ridiculously good supply lines. So he has to join a weaker team to be ...

Ibrahimovic is an absolute legend. That bicycle kick was magnificent, I don't want to take it away from him but Joe Hart was a bit stupid there... Overall impressed with England, we were more attacking, it's just Joe Hart that let us down a bit. Well done Ibra!! That goal - http://www.youtube.com/w...

I did say that Song wasn't very good at centreback and it would be painful for you if he had to play there. Here's an idea. We need a striker that isn't New-Bendtner, you guys need a centreback. You can take Squillaci and Djourou plus some cash, and we can have Villa? indeed you were absolutely rig...

we have been unlucky with injuries this season, all concentrated on the defense, but i still feel a CB (like Agger who we were linked with) would have been a better acquisition then Song, but we are still winning games, and remaining unbeaten is fantastic early on this season. Real also have defens...

2-1 to barcelona, in the last minute against Celtic Celtic defended well, but in the end, barca got their goal, and my god they fannyed around for it! 2-2 :) too bad Motonya hit the post in the very last minute! they were lucky but truth is we did not do a game to deserve the win either. Could have been easily 0-2 in the first half, but then we were very lucky ones with that early Benzema post hit. I was expecting a much more aggressive Madrid bu...
