Given how close Bottas is in qualifying you're basically saying that there are presently 7 drivers that are as least as good as Hamilton in qualifying, I would say name those 7. I'm not saying that. I'm saying there are four drivers that are at least as good as Hamilton in qualifying, and three mor...

Re: Red Bull 2021 - who would you sign?

I find it quite interesting how many people think that hiring from the outside for Red Bull would be admitting failure in their driver program. Verstappen is clearly a pretty special talent and on pure pace hard to dispute that he is as good as any. I don’t think it is even particularly surprising ...

Bottas in qualifying: 6th Bottas in the race: 9th I think that's a fair assessment. In other words, the rankings are actually just about right... This is a bit off topic but who are the seven you mention? Verstappen, Leclerc, Vettel, Russell, Ricciardo I’m guessing. Beyond that the two McLaren driv...

Then actually replying to your post, Bottas gets 7.64 for finishing second whilst a midfield driver gets 8.85 for finishing 4th, but I'm sure you are still going to tell me that Bottas' ranking of 9th place is still overated. Strawman, alright let's do some actual legwork rather than perhaps lazily making sweeping statements. Now let's look at the average score for a mid...

Bottas' position makes him hard to rate. Given his car he almost always achieves the very minimum acceptable result. On the face of it that's less than Russell. However in order to improve that he has to beat Hamilton which is very difficult. Given we can deduce very little regarding Bottas' perfor...

Weighted toward drivers putting in good performances in better cars. That's clearly obvious. Yeah, and that reason is because there are only 2 top cars available, and you can only fit 2 drivers into them. I've said all along that I would sign Perez. I always take driver ratings with a pinch of salt as the car influences them so much. Whilst ultimately the order isn't that different from how I'd rate them, you only get good mark's for a lesser team if you do something outstanding. A solid job is only ever a 6/10 in the lower midfield, wheres it...

Fantastic engines unlike the V8s. I really disagree with this. The V10's & 12's were certainly the absolute best sounding engines of all time, but the V8's sounded just as incredible in their own right and DID NOT sound bad at all. Different, but certainly not bad in any way. https://youtu.be/5jTTM...

Gutless how though? The lap times completely refute your opinion. The cars were properly fast and quick just the same. I think you're grasping at straws.
