Re: Mclaren Blunder Again?

I'm going to ignore the comments about this being all Jenson's fault. Somebody is giving Jenson WAY too much credit for the amount of engineering authority he has within the team. Re: McLaren lose Vodafone sponsorship

Quite clearly it's going to be Telmex. What would scare me, if I was MacLaren, is if Perez didn't work out well with the team, and then they would be stuck looking for another Mexican driver.

Re: Car Setups and Driving Styles

I haven't played a lot of sims, but on my actual race car (RWD) I aim for controlled understeer on corner entry, and controlled oversteer on corner exit.

For FWD, it would be the inverse of this.

Re: F1 engine regulations

If we are talking alternate fuel sources, Hydrogen all the way. Car companies seem to have focussed resources on Electric cars despite the fact that it is vastly inferior. Everyone acts as if Electricity is clean, but creating batteries alone has a massive pollution rate, not to mention the shippin...

Re: Sutil had a seat fitting for Force India

Rife speculation: Force India is delaying a decision, because VJM is trying to sell the team, and wants to offer the choice to potential new owners.

Re: Understeer & Oversteer

Much of what is written on this thread is factually incorrect. Your best bet is the books mentioned above. Especially the Carrol Smith series, plus also How to Make Your Car Handle by Fred Puhn. I watched a couple of the iRacing videos. They are VERY elementary. A good starting point but they barely...
