Easily Alonso, anyone else with those tyres would have been off the track and way out of the fight for a podium.

Sounds like he had a lucid interval after the initial impact which is why it initially seemed to be no biggie. Always a threat with head trauma. A similar thing happened to Natasha Richardson after her skiing accident. Pulling for him... Thankfully the difference here is that he was wearing a helme...

Perhaps he means in terms of car info getting out to other teams, surely pr events don't need a ban seeing as talking about them on twitter can only help.

Re: Did the change in tires ruin the season?

It seems to me Ferrari abandoned this years car (to develop next years) not long after the new tyres came in. I think Mercedes did similar a bit later and Lotus had long run out of money. I think these factors contributed more to Vettels/RB dominance than the tyre change. Mostly this, once everyone...

Re: Mark Webber's Last Week

Question, since Mark is being personally sponsored by Red Bull and that whole rumor of a Red Bull junior squad driver potentially joining him is there any chance that Red Bull are using this as a way to get a foot in the WEC side? And if so is it then just small sponsor or something bigger?

Have to be honest, the sceptic in me finds the timing suspect. Only 24 hours ago we were hearing that he was taking the SWB car to Austin, and now suddenly his back's so bad that he needs surgery immediately? Hmm. One wonders if he hadn't already been leaving Lotus whether he wouldn't have waited.....

Re: Kimi's 2013 Is Officially Over - Back Surgury on Thursda

It kind of seems like things fell into place, I don't doubt he loves racing but being in pain and not being for it has got to be a blow on the old motivation and now he can finally get his back sorted so he can be at his best at the start of 2014. Though I have to say the whole theory of letting the...

You know what, no bs here. Probably not. But it'd be interesting to see what he could do in another team, perhaps further down the grid, like a Sauber or Caterham. I think they were trying to make it more interesting but completely fluffed it by taking it too far. Heck we saw Hamilton's race completely wrecked from the tiniest tap. More often then not cars can't try to overtake for long or else their tires get murdered so you end up with trains forming until s...

So, instead of having the back markers overtake, and drive all the way round to catch up, they do the following: - Safety car out - Everyone pits, etc. - Clean track - Race control picks a lap - All lapped cars directed to drive into pit lane, don't box - Pit light red - Lapped cars stack, in order...

So then they want it increased so they're not pressured to lose weight to make the combination just above 690kg and have lots of stuff to help the car perform better as opposed to whole thing being heavier and losing speed? I think I've got it now. Maybe.

So I read an article about some drivers wanting an increase in the weight limit next year and whilst reading I realised I don't fully understand the weight limits. So I don't know much about F1 history but from what I've seen in the RB dominant years they seem to be great at having a stupidly fast car that likes to have bits and pieces break or cause concern.
Has this always been the case for them or previous cars Newey has had a big part of?
