Re: Official Checo (Sergio) Perez Thread
I think the performances of all the drivers to new teams has shown that they need more than 3 days testing. Also imagine the basis of the Red bull is completely different to the racing point which he probably still adapting too

He just needs a clean weekend with no reliability trouble so he can get the laps in and the confidence. As someone said earlier after 5 races we should start to have a better idea.

False. Lewis is generally in a class of his own in the wet. Silverstone 08, Fuji 2007, suzuka 2014, interlagos 2016, Turkey 2020, monaco 08 no one could get beer him.

This is why I regard Lewis Hamilton as the best of all time. He has surpassed both without controversy and unfair driving. Surpassing in numbers and surpassing in status are quite different - for many (including myself), Hamilton struggles to make the top 5 GOATs, let alone the singular best. Perha...

In this current era yes. Maybe in 2022 things may change as we have seen in the past.
At the moment they consistently have the desire to keep winning, improve on themselves, keep learning and make very little mistakes and of course have the best driver. This is why they are unbeatable on my opinion

I've gone for Webber. I think Red bulls fruition to the top came just after his peak. Had he been given a top seat a few years earlier, he may of been a wdc. I have to say though although we are not counting champions I feel Nico Rosberg was so much better than he got credit for and this has come to...

Hamilton for me. The way he can instantly find the grip off line and continues to adapt his driving lines as the track and grip evolves. You need a lot of confidence and belief in your own ability to do that as its so much easier just to stick to what you know.

I've always rated Kyvatt. I would of been happy if Ferrari had decided to take a gamble on him. Part of me feels he was unlucky when his chance with rb came as that was during there most difficult recent period.

I think we will find on fairly early on. If it goes well I think he would be mirroring something similar to Sainz when he was paired up with max in their first season. I don't think he will be as competitive as Danny was but I guess we will find out. I'm pleased for him. He deserves it and I hope he...

I think Red Bull would rather keep Albon until they have another young charger ready to take over. Any other team in this dilemma would probably of taken Checco but red bull is potentially the most difficult final spare seat to get himself into.

I felt sorry for Vertsappen. Probably for the first time of his life he was really cautious and backed out of the three wide situation. Then got taken out. Was he taken out though? Felipe Massa's engine doesn't blow in Hungary 2008 and he wins the race and the world championship Or, Piquet Jr doesn't put his car in the wall in Singapore, and Massa's planned pitstop goes as planned. That's not quite a retirement, but as good as one. And one that still gets on my blood pressure...

I've been doing some comparisons between Hamilton and Schumacher and one major difference between them was their success in the fallow periods between their titles: 1996-1999 for Schumacher and 2009-2013 for Hamilton. In those years, Schumacher achieved 3rd, 2nd (later DSQ), 2nd and 5th often drivi...

Today’s race seemed like an open goal for one of the Red Bull boys to win the race especially since there were no safety cars.
