Re: 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Thread

If Leclerc qualifies well he could end up being a road block I feel. That Ferrari may suffer from tyre deg issues and not be as fast as their 1 lap pace suggests.

What are the chances Verstappen's engine is totally knackered and he'll need a replacement? Surely the team have checked it all over at the factory?

Out of interest if your top 3 are Leclarc, Max, Lewis. Whose the 4th ahead of Norris. I don't really see anyone else you can currently put there. Obviously Alonso is unknown but I don't think he could currently be placed above Norris. Charles still makes too many mistakes for most to consider him a...

Not yet.

He is starting to get some momentum behind him but Lando does look quicker for now.

Maybe Danny has just peaked already and hit his psychological wall that he can't overcome?

Re: Uncharacteristic errors from Hamilton and Verstappen

If Verstappen has the faster car and collisions are 50/50 (unless pre-planned) then Hamilton does not have the luxury of hoping for a DNF every time he shunts into Verstappen. If Hamilton gets a DNF while being the #2 fastest car then his WDC chance is getting slimmer by the race. Who is pre-planni...

Re: 2021 British Grand Prix Race Thread

Verstappen has spent the season relying on Hamilton getting out of his way. No way that's on Lewis. Verstappen was over the top twice with his defending before that even happened. It's a racing incident. Verstappen can't turn in just expecting Lewis to vanish. You're in the minority here it seems. ...

Hamilton does not have the same confidence as Verstappen

Re: Mercedes vs Red Bull - 2021

Yes I agree, Norris is probably faster than Bottas at the moment. Hamiltons race pace was superior to Rosberg in 2014 though and 2016. Nico did have one of his best ever races against Hamilton there in 2015 though. Overtaking him on lap 1 and then building a 3-4 second lead to which Hamilton had no...

2022 F1 car - officially leaked

I like it, even the Indy style front wing.

The "skirts" on the side look like they may generate some serious downforce too.

Overall 8/10 from me.

Let's hope these things allow close F1 racing.

Vettel's had 2 years like that, 2014 and last year and I'm not sure that presently going life and death with Stroll is exactly steering him out of that dip. I would say that elite drivers simply don't have that complete loss of performance, Vettel and Ricciardo are not elite, Ricciardo has another ...

Someone else who has impressed me this year has been Carlos Sainz. He has made some mistakes - Imola and Baku - but other than that he has just quietly got on with the job at hand. I can see him becoming the "favourite" at Ferrari pretty soon. Leclerc still makes too many mistakes to be considered a...

Re: Who is performing better in 2021, Norris or Verstappen?

Just my 2 cents but Verstappen seems to be a guy who has absolute belief in himself whereas Norris seems to be a 'confidence' driver who will perform excellently as long as he has momentum behind him. If Ricciardo finds some form, will his confidence bubble burst or can he still outpace his team mat...

Kimi needs to retire. Wheel to wheel combat is not a strong point anymore for him. Kimi also nearly gave Russell a puncture just before Vettel overtook him.
