Re: 2026 Junior Series

I don't think there's a huge amount of significant talent in F2 or F3 this year tbh. Mini has always been a frontrunner so I rate him, but Tsolovs run of form is odd to me - he never shone that bright in F3 from memory. Then again if he has 'Nando's seal of approval who am I to judge?! Going into th...

Re: Antonelli....could he actually do it?....

A 50 point lead going into the summer break. that's nice! Best news for him though is that gap is reflective of the fact that behind him, the wins are being shared out among 3 or 4 drivers. I was thinking about his age, if he wins he will be just 20 and would be youngest ever Champ by some margin. G...

Re: 2026 Junior Series

Catching up on F2/F3. Have to say I'm loving the F3 races, Feature race in Austria was one for the ages. More like Moto3 than F3! The still maturing Slater and the improved Ugochukwu look to be the class of the field but del Pino and Stromsted are making an impression and Clerot can definitely compe...

Re: Female Racing Drivers

First podium for Larson in British F4 at Zandvoort. Nice but her other results are 15-26-29-*3*-15 so looks like a bit of a freak result - I didn't watch the race and it was the reverse grid race 2 which probably explains it.

Re: Female Racing Drivers

Impressive F1 Academy wildcard entry at Silverstone by 16 year old Swiss driver Chiara Bättig. Qualified on Pole and finished P2 right behind championship leader Palmoswki in the feature race. She'll be snapped up for a full time drive next year I'm sure. Along with a few other F1A drivers she has b...

Wow. That move on George... that was brutal. Something about his approach reminds me more of Valentino Rossi than another F1 driver. Super fast, but in combat against other top drivers, it seems like a move is making a statement. Aggressive, but not reckless or over the line. Was it really that imp...

Re: New Regs .. First Impressions?

Well we are a few races in and I'm not loving it. I do enjoy that the cars can follow close and re-pass but still frustrates me that I can't *see* why. I'm not switching my focus to reading some poxy computer game graphic to try and work out why the driver behind is suddenly 20km/h faster.

Re: Antonelli....could he actually do it?....

I think Russell may have written off the first few races as exceptions but it doesn't look that way. Antonelli looked on a mission. It's going to be long season for Russell! With gap he has now, if Kimi can keep the F3/F2 mentality in check, he can afford to be OK with finishing behind Russel if the...

I was unconvinced this year in the first few races, as i thought a big element of luck went into helping him, but this weekend, he really did loog great regarding race pace. I think he will only be able to win it if Mercedes are consistently at the top and russell keeps underperforming. He still ma...

I was expecting Antonelli to start to gain more consistency this year, but surely nobody expected a start as strong as the one he has had. I was aware of his name but I don't follow Indy and looking at his record, it's not as impressive as I was expecting. Has he been in decent teams? What teammates has he has and how has he stacked up against them? Realistically what should we expect of him in F2?

Ferrari have a very effective DRS replacement. Invert the wing and it creates lift instead of down force. Create enough lift, carry the speed and jump over the car in front. Clever stuff and should make for great TV.
