Re: Female Racing Drivers

From what I read, amped is right about W Series. it went bust because t didn't actually have much income or revenue, it's money was purely from investors while it racked up debt it couldn't then pay. I have not seen anything of Muir since it's collapsed but it does appear to be pretty much on her an...

Re: The official NICO HULKENBERG Thread

So what lies ahead for Hulkenberg as an Audi driver do you think? Well, he is certainly doing better than I expected at Sauber. I now feel being inconsistent, but with high peaks is probably better for a team like this than a driver that is usually solid but unspectacular. That's a good point. When...

Strong drive by Norris at a time he really needed it. withstood thee pressure from Piastri the entire distance, was surprisingly robust in his defense AND attack with the wheel to wheel stuff. Definitely the right result at the right time for him.

I worry for Gasly. I'm a bit biased because my son is a fan. But I think an anonymous year like this will be quite damaging to his career. Well it's a 3 horse race and I wouldn't rule Max out, just because RB don't appear to have given up and well, it's Max who frankly would be a threat in a shopping cart. Similar plots for time (or %) delta in quali would be interesting but ultimately unrepresentative unless both reached Q3. Re: Is Yuki actually doing a better job than Lawson might?

Yes that's pretty much it. I've done a few of these and because of the cumulative average initial results show as magnified. So if driver B qualifies P5 places behind Driver A (P1) in their first race it shows as a peak on the chart as they are on average 4 places apart, but say they went on to qual...

Well Horner's explanation at the time was that they felt Lawson temperament would be more suited to dealing with being Max's teammate and the pressure of being in the A team. Doubt that's the whole story and the timing/location of the switch lends weight to idea that there was more to it. Either way...

Is Yuki actually doing a better job than Lawson might?

Frustrating that RB only gave LL the 2 races - it makes a comparison of results almost worthless. But the fact is In the 1 race they both finished, Lawson was 12th, 8 places down on Max in 4th. Yuki and Max have finished 6 together so far and Yuki has been on average 12th with Max 3rd. So objectivel...

Unless F1 is different Race Directors role is focused on smooth and safe running of the event only. Driving standards, transgressions and discipline are the stewards domain. As the Verstappen incidents has no direct safety implications the RD did not need to have any bearing on the action taken.

Well then, since there was no "official" need to, it would be possible to perceive what happened on the straight as not handing the place back, but as a continued fight for position. At the corner, Verstappen's front axle was more than alongside Russell's mirror, which in the new guidelines means R...
