“the evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones” The incident in Malaysia will have other implications as well: it will show whether or not the Red Bull Racing management is running the team, or whether Sebastian Vettel can do as he pleases. Re: Driver of the day = Mark Webber

Vettel does not deserve DoD, not because of the team orders incident but because he compromised his race by making a wrong decision to go to dry tyres when the track was still too wet

A three times WDC should not make an error of that kind

Hmmmmm According to Bernie is was Mateschitz who made the decision to keep Webber out of loyalty, against the advice of Marko. I suggest Vettel has reached the point in his career where he truly believes that he is the reason that RB have won 3 championships, not Newey or the team. Perhaps Mateschit...

Re: F1 is a farce! Let them race.

At the end of the day, F1 wouldn't be half as captivating without the politics and stories like this. I love racing as much as the next guy but if I wanted that I'd pay a tenner and go and watch touring cars at Donington 5 miles down the road. In F1 the racing is sometimes pretty processional but t...

Hang on chaps, when Button finally got going he had to sit behind Rosberg and Hamilton until they stopped for 6 and 5 laps respectively He had track position and a 5 lap undercut, he would likely have been gone up the road by the time the Mercedes stopped, he may well have been close to the leaders ...

Did they start with the same fuel load?

If they did, Hamilton used more during the race

If they didn't, Rosberg drove the race with more fuel

Either way, the fact that Hamilton needed team orders to stay in front of his team mate says much about Hamilton, not so much about Rosberg
