I agree however, currently these are the rules and they are more than enough to sit down and learn them if they really want to win.specdecible wrote:The whole radio ban is stupid, it's a team sport ffs

Team Radio Ban - Are We Missing the Point?
The team radio ban is obviously a big talking point at the moment. I agree with the majority in that technical engine/strategy messages should be allowed but how to drive a corner shouldn't. I think though that we are missing the point. The top drivers are paid tens of millions of pounds/euro's/doll...

Hi, Not the most active member here but wondering if anybody had some helpful ideas! Myself and 2 mates are going to Belgium to watch the race. We are driving, via the tunnel and will probably stop off in brussels on the way. We are camping in the 17-27 area (booked on BookF1.com) and was just wonde...

Re: Alonso or Hamilton?
Ive always rated Alonso higher as well but this year its tougher to compare the 2 cause Hamilton has a rocket ship and Alonso has a turtle. Also its a lot easier to be mistake free with a car like the Mercedes when your always starting races on the first line and when the car has only one competito...

Alonso or Hamilton?
Firstly, I'll state I am a Lewis Fan however I have always thought that Alonso is the best all round F1 Driver on the current grid. This year however, I feel Lewis has stepped it up a gear, especially since SPA and I really don't think anyone on the grid could have challenged him in the last few rac...

Championship Points Situation Come Abu Dhabi
I may have missed something when it comes to the doubles points situation at the end of the season. As a Lewis Hamilton fan, I've come to terms that he will be going into the summer break with at least a 21 point deficit. Most probably a bit closer to 30. While I agree any points deficit is not idea...

Re: Lotus to start sponsorless
Didn't they have Microsoft Dynamics in 2012? Did they not keep hold of that one?RickM wrote:Hardly sponsorless.
That great big 'GENIE' logo on the side of the car, then you've got Rexona and a crap load of small sponsors.

I think Mercedes pace is looking better than most expected but I don't think they will be fighting with the top 3 unfortunately

Mercedes Testing Times
Anyone notice the Mercedes times so far in Barcelona? Rosberg fastest on Day 1 and Hamilton 4th on Day 2 on the hard Tyre, behind the Lotus by a very small gap which was on the medium, Red Bull by 5 tenths which was on the soft and Mclaren by 8 tenths which were also on the Soft Tyre. Of course its ...

Re: Actually how fast are the F1 guys?
It is a very interesting point. The adaption and consitency is what makes them F1 drivers I agree. I just think 2.6 seconds over quite a long lap which is quite a technical track with hammerhead and the first corner isn't that much. Give Ellen even just a week on the track and she would improve by a...

Re: Actually how fast are the F1 guys?
The wiki article shows vettel is 2.7 seconds quicker than Ellen MacArthur (hamilton was 0.7 secs slower than vettel on a wet and oily track so I presume would go quicker) over a 1 minute 44 lap. I take Kai's point that they could could find the limit very quickly and be on the limit consistantly how...

Actually how fast are the F1 guys?
I've always wondered exactly how fast these guys are?
I like to think im fairly quick, im always there or thereabouts on leaderboards at go karting but not at all the quickest.
Say it took me a minute to do a lap of an outdoor go kart track, how fast would lewis or fernando be?
