I wonder if this is to further placate a star driver or the first signs of them clearing house from that era.

Re: 2025 British Grand Prix Race Thread
Thoughts. 1) if the extreme wet is so bad, scrap it and make the intermediate the extreme wet and make a new in-between tyre. Having a lesser wet window is better for me rather than the farce of having an unusable tyre 2) 10 seconds I thought was harsh, I would argue that the late call of safety car...

Weirdly it’s oddly calm now and sunny but obviously ground is soaked. Gray skies in every direction apart from th...

Re: 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Race Thread
Yes I totally agree, i don't know when it became common place to simply hand out the 5 second penalty instead of telling the driver to swap positions which is much much more palettable as a viewer, it used to be such that a driver would have to return the position even if the other driver had falle...

I’ve seen that too, believed to be McLaren & Mercedes after Redbull complained about flexi wings( oh the irony ) No the rumour my friend has heard is that it was taken off several races ago, which happens to coincide with the dib in form. My friend is a bit of a conspiracy nut so take with a pinch ...

I don’t understand why mclaren were so pre-occupied with Hamilton, when they pitted lando they still had 26 seconds lead over Hamilton.
When Oscar came in they still had 5 seconds over Hamilton from Norris.
McLaren panicked, or worse they didn’t trust lando to make a clean overtake

Re: Hamilton/Verstappen Brazil 22
Different speeds, different situations, different types of corners, Hamilton was trying to pass Alonso, Verstappen was trying to pass Hamilton, at least both times Hamilton was attempting to stay on the track as was Alonso, that had no concern for Verstappen like in Brazil last year, it didn't pass...

Re: Hamilton/Verstappen Brazil 22
Silverstone was the turning point for Lewis. Granted after that he had to yield in the last few races due to the points situation. This analysis is spot on, Max throws it up the inside with too much speed. Lewis these days is simply giving Max the same treatment back (uncompromising) Good on him ht...

Re: Hamilton/Verstappen Brazil 22
Hamilton made the exact same mistake as he did at Spa earlier this year with Alonso. When a car has over half an overlap on you and is on the inside, you can’t just expect them to disappear when you turn into the corner without leaving a car’s width there. If Hamilton had done what Verstappen did a...

Re: Hamilton/Verstappen Brazil 22
The only thing I was surprised about was it wasn't a stop and go penalty, as even in real time ignoring the rubbish Brundle was saying it was obvious it was a deliberate accident in which Max knew he was never making the corner but was ready to crash which he later admitted post race. Don't know wh...

Re: Hamilton/Verstappen Brazil 22
Chandhok showed that Max was never making that corner and even with Lewis acting as a brake he didn't make it. Given the 'safe and controlled' clause as well as the obvious that a move must be completed on track it clearly lands on Max. This post should be the end of the discussion. The fact Max en...

Re: Perez's Monaco Qualifying Crash
I'll start by saying that I came into this with the assumption that he had not done it deliberately, largely because it seemed a pointless thing to do merely to secure third position. I still believe that second part. However, I've now come to the conclusion that -- unfathomably enough -- Perez did...

I’ve watched In my opinion he feathered (not full beans) the throttle too soon. Hence there’s a bit of a noise but nothing like a full application. I find you very amusing RBI. You're clearly trying to do good PR work for Redbull. A $7m fine is absolutely nothing to pay for 2 WDC's and A WCC. Every team in the paddock will comfortably pay that without a care in the world. Glad you're amused. I'm not trying to do anything for RB. I legit had no...
