Re: mp4/31 is here
In theory, Mclaren should finish ahead of Toro Rosso this year. 1. They have a much larger budget. 2. Their chassis is built around their engine whereas Toro Rosso's car is built around someone else's which they only got a hold of at the end of last year. 3. Their engine will be upgraded and improve...

Re: Why Alonso and Ferrari parted ways.
The lack of Mclaren performance has made me question the Alonso move from Ferrari,I was convinced he went to Mclaren by them having something up their sleeve but now its apparent they havent which leaves me thinking did Ferrari push Alonso to make way for Vettel and only Mclaren was left for Alonso...

Re: Fry/Tombazis out, Bell in at Ferrari
Good signing for Ferrari, they will get a lot of Benz secrets. But Mercedes lost/let go three of their top guys, Brawn, Bell, and Costa, that doesn't bode well for long term domination. They'll probably be ahead next year as well, but I don't think they'll win 4 years in a row like Red Bull/Ferrari/...

Re: Volkswagen Audi Group in F1
It would be interesting if they entered F1 under the Lamborghini name, but they would most likely enter under Audi.

Re: FIA to reconsider double points
They've come to the realization that the title might come down to Hamilton and Rosberg, at which point one of them will likely get screwed by the double points system in the final race, which will be a great injustice. This rule has to be scrapped.

Re: Mercedes engine advantage explained.
ahem... that turbo-layout really is nothing new and it can be argued that it offers some benefits but the article itself is pretty much waste of time... i don't have a lot knowledge of how turbo engines work so i'm missing a lot of WHY's here... the biggest one: why is the turbo-lag supposed to be ...

Re: Red Bull Commitment 'Has its limits'
This question/statement was brought up by people a couple of years back, as in once Red Bull stop winning, they'll pull out of F1. At the time Mateschitz reassured everyone that that wasn't the case. Now he's saying the opposite? He recently brought back the A1 Ring as the Red Bull Ring so what's he...

What Will Red Bull Do?
Obviously we'll find out by the end of the weekend, but with the appeal being heard on April 14th, there will be 2 races until then. Horner has said that they have done nothing wrong and that he's confident they will win the appeal, so in that case will they run the same fuel flow rate as they did i...

Re: UPD: Ricciardo DSQ for breach of fuel flow limit, RB app
One thing I do not understand; If you are given 100kg of fuel to run a race and the race is 1 hour and a half to 2 hours long, there is no way you can physically exceed an average of 100kg/hr and finish the race. That is why I don't understand that rule in the first place. It does not make any logi...

Re: WDC 2014, Rosberg or Hamilton
Last year some people were saying that the only reason as to why Lewis beat Nico was because Nico had car trouble in a few of the races. So if the opposite happens now, what will the same people say, that it's because Nico is the better driver? LOL. In any case, Nico has never beaten Lewis in all of...

Re: Ricciardo under investigation for breach of fuel flow li
It is not a stupid rule. Fuel flow rate has NOTHING to do with fuel consumption. It has to do with how much power the engine makes. The FIA wants to restrict the amount of power of the engines. They do this by putting a limit on the amount of fuel that can be dumped into the engine when it is at FUL...

Re: Vettel not one of the greats - Eurosport article
Ya, but Jim Clark would get into any car and be quick right away, not just in Formula 1, that is why he is considered to be one of the greatest ever, a natural talent. As for Vettel, it's much too early to say whether or not he is one of the greats. What if he never wins another title and is in F1 f...

Re: History beckons... How will we recognise the event?
Sebastian Vettel is on the verge of becoming only the fourth driver to win the World Championship as many times, only the second driver to do so across successive seasons, the first to retain and consecutively reclaim his inaugural crown for so long (though this was true at the third time of asking...
