Re: Nico Rosberg retires from F1, with immediate affect

Brave decision, but it's what separates men from boys.
One trhreatens to quit mid season, while the other does it for real.

Have a happy life with your family Nico!

Re: Potential disciplinary action against Hamilton by Merced

I believe from Toto's pov, there was a real risk of losing 1st place. If Vettel gets really close, he could lunge in and get alongside both cars. And between 3rd and 1st, I think Vettel would likely give it a go since he hasn't won anything this year. I doubt position 1 and 4 is much of a bother th...

Vote for Lewis. Flawless race by him
As for Max, yes great overtakings, but I think that the wrong strategy actually helped him in some way.
Had he been on full wets instead of inters, he would not have had changed to "fresher" tyres for the end of the race.

Re: Toro Rosso secure supply of year old Ferrari engines in

What's interesting for me is, will Ferrari be allowed to develop their '15 spec engine/PU in parallel with the new '16 one. It puzzles me why people are even asking this question. Of course they will not. They will not even be interested in doing so. That's what puzzles me. If these PUs are not tot...

Re: Toro Rosso secure supply of year old Ferrari engines in

What's interesting for me is, will Ferrari be allowed to develop their '15 spec engine/PU in parallel with the new '16 one. If these PUs are not totally different consepts, that'd give Ferrari the opportunity to develop/experiment the new parts in the TR car, before using tokens for the Scuderia car.

Re: Please can someone answer this question for me?

Just a wild and finny guess (and I'm sure it's not correct) - The F1 drivers brake using their left leg. Most people are used to push the clutch pedal with their left leg and apply more force. Some time ago driving a DSG Audi I tried braking with my left leg. I thought I applied just a little bit of...

The current PUs are quieter not just because the ICE has 2 cyllinders less, but mainly because of the turbo/mgu-h unit. You know, the sound is wasted energy.

Regarding the track temperature - As I read somewhere (can't provide link atm) the temperature in Itally was 41-42 degrees celsius, which is about 5-6 degrees higher than in Singapure. That article doesn't explain why Mercs performance was even worse on Soft tyres than on the SS ones compares to RB and Ferrari
and,
how could the temp in Singapore be higher (than Monaco) during a night race.

Not to defend Kimi, but he was about 4 tenths off Vettel's time in Q1 & Q2. He could have taken P2 with such margin in Q3. He probably made a mistake.

I strongly belive that Mercedes have a serious problem with the mandatory minimum tyre pressure. If this is the case, we'll see them struggle with tyres from now on. Kerbs issue could be just a consequence of the higher tyre pressure. The suspension and chassis can't absorb the bumps and kerb contact and thus the bad car handling. Just my theory.

For those advocating a defined fuel limit (as we have currently) - this is the equivalent of restricting the total energy available to use for a race distance.
