Re: Which F1 driver will you count on to save us?
I have no idea who I will choose but it definitely won't be Kimi.... Very high chance he might just skip the whole event for a magnum and some apocalyptic partying.

Re: Still possible Kimi could walk from Lotus before end 201
Kimi showing his true colours. He has millions in the bank, has a dream job and is throwing the toys out the pram. He got paid at the end of last year and will do so again, man up. You are joking, right? I mean having a dream job and millions is simply not the problem here. The problem is not deali...

Re: Number crunching with Gary Anderson.
Even Gary Anderson would not be stupid enough to not consider tire compounds. I think he considered them in his calcs but just did not mention them in the article.

is a 5 element front wing really that unusual? I mean I'd just like to know what configurations other teams are running.

Re: Official 2013 winter testing thread
I have to say I am supremely impressed with the work Lotus have done both last year and now this year. Their budget has to be quite measly compared to the big three at least and even Mercedes I imagine but damn they have some good young engineers working at Enstone who continue to deliver amazingly ...

Re: The myth of the slow Ferrari
The ferrari was not slow at all. I think it was a notch quicker than the Lotus on average but I have to admit Red Bull and Mclaren were in a league of their own in terms of pure pace. Mclaren were let down big time by their reliability issues though. Actually, Ferrari was one of the best overall pac...

Re: New Member introduction thread
I have been watching F1 for the past decade or so and I love the sport. Moreover, being a mechanical engineer and a formula student graduate I am particularly interested in the technical aspect that Formula 1 offers. Big fan of Raikkonen, Newey, Todt and Brawn.

Re: 6 WDCs - Proven and Unproven
I don't think anyone can realistically argue Schumacher, Alonso and Hamilton are unproven. The quality of this trio is unquestionable and all have been the best on the grid at various times. Greater question marks exist over Raikkonen, Button and Vettel who have never quite stood out from the rest ...

Re: Jenson vs Kimi?
you dont look at fastest lap, because its very difficult to judge given how fresh the rubber was. You compare the lap time of each lap of each race, thats the way to do comparison. But that sounds stupid because drivers may be on different tire compounds, or maybe one might be stuck in traffic. Bas...

Re: Jenson vs Kimi?
So I just looked through en.mclarenf-1.com for a head to head comparison between Kimi and Grosjean and during the races over the course of the season Kimi leads in terms of fastest laps 9-7 when compared with Grosjean. Now, one observation that I have is that out of the 7 times that Grosjean has set...

Re: Jenson vs Kimi?
Somebody please explain to me how and why is Grsojean even considered to be as fast, in terms of absolute race pace, as Kimi? I just think that using qualification as a proving ground for "absolute pace" is wrong because you get what 10 laps maybe to show what your speed is whereas during the race y...

Re: Jenson vs Kimi?
Jenson, Kimi isn't the fastest guy on the grid that people have been touting for years, he may have the edge (just) on overtaking ability (and certainly bigger balls) but Jenson is just as quick with much better racecraft. Fastest guy on the grid or not, Kimi is hands down, quicker than Jenson. And...

Re: Jenson vs Kimi?
Jenson V's The World!!! Sometimes I feel this is the way "How would this guy do against this driver". Well considering in Australia he out right beat Lewis fair and square no excuses, not car setup or nothing - Lewis's face on the podium said it all and he wouldnt of been happy even with 2nd. Altho...

Re: Alonso VS Massa
Ferrari basically kicked out schumacher to bring on Raikonen as the next messiah on a huge 50 million a year contract. Why in the world wouldn't he have the same number 1 status as schumacher did the year before when clearly his salary compared to Massa's showed he was the number 1 driver. Maybe Ra...

Re: Jenson vs Kimi?
I dare to say that Jenson, in my honest opinion, is the least credible world champion on the grid at the moment. He is a good driver no doubt, but Alonso, Hamilton, Vettel, Kimi are in a league of their own. I say this because I think Jenson won his WDC in what I would like to call the lottery year ...
