Re: Forum verdict on the Hamilton/Verstappen collision

That would be were Hamilton as the car in front went wide in order to avoid the collision. Yes but Hamilton made the decision to avoid contact to fight another day. However, Hamilton was hot headed at Silverstone and couldn't keep his line. Needs to take this one on the chin, he messed up and Verst...

Re: How will Max and Lewis race each other for the rest of the season?

I'd hope Max comes back a little more measured in his aggressive style. This could have easily been the third or even fourth major shunt between the two drivers this year but we have seen Hamilton has been the driver that yields realising that Max would take them both off. Now Hamilton has demonstr...

Re: 2021 British Grand Prix Race Thread

Footage showed Max opened his steering as Lewis was there then decides to steer right more than likely expecting Lewis to back out as he has all season. Max was aggressive on lap 1 aswell so you could see it happening. He is ALWAYS too agressive. He gets away with it far too often. I mean is there ...

Re: 2021 British Grand Prix Race Thread

Exactly. Lewis actually backed off a little bit that's why it looked like Max was ahead as they were taking the corner. Max turned in so he wouldn't go off track, leaving Lewis no room at all. I think it's bonkers that people are making this solely about Lewis. This is one the stewards got wrong. S...

Re: 2021 British Grand Prix Race Thread

That line he took with Leclerc was a perfect exemplification of how he SHOULD've done in the first instance with Max. Hamilton winning this one with his main rival out of the race, due mainly to his mistake, doesn't do justice to F1. Maybe Max should have taken Leclerc's line too! Exactly. Lewis ac...

Re: 2021 British Grand Prix Race Thread

Given the overhead frame which showed Hamilton more than one car width away from the apex when colliding with Verstappen and Le Clerc right on the apex in the same shot it's actually hard for me to think that the collision was anything other than with intent. Great win imo. Shame Max wasn’t there but when you want to race with elbows out all the time things happen.

If this was two mid field cars, you would all be saying racing incident. Max didn't give an inch, Lewis didn't either so was always going to end in an accident

Re: 2021 British Grand Prix Race Thread

I don’t think it’s possible to make the apex at Stowe if you are on the inside. Lewis had too much speed to back out of there and he was almost fully alongside. Max could have taken a wider line. Racing incident in my view but max should learn that he can’t boss his way around Lewis all year long. I...

I was really looking forward to sprint qualifying but that just failed to do anything for me. My favourite part of the weekend is often quali, man against the clock, and all this served to do was to make those heroics meaningless. I’d be happy to never see this again.

Looks very Indy car to me. I bet it will drive similar to Indy too, with drivers making a lot of steering corrections all the time. When you couple 1000+hp and less downforce, I bet you're going to see unstable cars. Might be fun to watch.

I think the guys who are fighting at the front of the field deserve more accolades than those in the midfield. The upgrade they're getting there should reignite their speed. Plus Silverstone should suit them better. Redbull was genuinely 3-4 tenths quicker on a track with only a handful of corners. Leclerc definitely needs to improve his race pace. That weakness was evident in his first year at Ferrari when he was out qualifying Seb but wasn’t quite as fast in some of the races. Sainz showed him up the last time out. But I do agree that he is probably the one with the most upside in qualifying...
