Re: 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Race Thread

Re: 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Race Thread

Do you only have to half overtake a car now before you’re allowed to force it off and have the stewards say there’s no issue?

Still, Sainz mentioning Verstappen and giving them a way to try to legitimise last year was bound to score brownie points.

Surely Chadwick deserves a chance in F2/F3, Calderon got three seasons and then a season plus in F2 despite never having finished higher than 16th in GP3.

I think we would have seen a different story had Mick been at Alfa Romeo under Fred Vasseur as opposed to being under Gunther Steiner who takes him own DTS image way too seriously. He has shown himself to be incapable of managing the team or the drivers; most under performing team managers would ha...

Sounds like it. Would Marko say it if it wasn’t true given the negativity around the team at present and invite more criticism? Perhaps, I suppose - at least then we’re not talking about how Verstappen isn’t a team player or how Perez’s crash might have been deliberate, the cost cap breach, human er...

Re: Do red bull have a max verstappen problem.

I think the chances are higher that we’ll see Ver v Ric again rather than Per v Ric. I wanted to see him at Merc to be honest, for me the only advantage of this is that Mick also likely has a reserve role somewhere with decent machinery. I don’t think Checo is a future WDC and while I think Daniel c...

I agree. I’m not sure why they put so much pressure on him because of his name when it’s more likely he’d be more of a Ralph type driver. Nobody bar Lewis has come close; Alonso might have but for burning bridges and if Max carries on, he might go the same way. The son isn’t always as good a driver ...

I am not surprised by the statement. Red Bull knew exactly what happened, they didn’t need to ask him what happened after he failed to obey the instruction to give the place back. That they did showed on Sunday that they were going to continue to defend him. If Checo is still onside I will lose all ...

I’m gutted that we lose Ricciardo and Schumacher at the same time, but I’m very confident that Mick will be back and relatively so that Ricciardo will be. Clearly 4 for the current calendar, so I’m leaning toward 5 knowing that the number of races is going up. Also there will be less using of engines they’re not so confident in (previous damage etc) due to more sprints and less free practice time. If there was confidence in penalties to be correct and...
